I just got done building this axle. its a hp ford housing cut down to waggy width, with 8 lug outers. crossover steer, 5.38s, and e-locker, and 4340 shafts for a guy at work. just need to finish his rear 60ff and get em under his rusty yj
No joking. He Has Been spending some serious coin on these axles. The 60ff rear is narrowed to 60", bored spindles for 35 spline, Dutchman shafts, 5.38s and a Detroit. Crazy compared to my low buck approach.
Wait till I tell you the story behind it. You will understand. Pics tomorrow. I have to put a battery and fuel in it before its driveable. It's been sitting since 2011
finally had some time to post some other pics. i was looking for a crew cab truck to buy...but some super rich guy traded this in at work. he bought himself a new AEV wrangler. so i got this first. i will have to wait a year or so to get a truck. which is ok since the durango can tow.
only 5% of wranglers where lwb like this, and very few of them had manual transmissions. it has a 4.5" rubi exp. lift, a 1" body lift, OME shocks and stabilizer, ARB compressor, AIRAID intake, 17" beadlock AEV wheels, 37" MTR's. WARN bumpers and sliders, some sort of flip out dvd player. factory 4.0 t-case and lockers. i believe it still has the 4.10 gears in it. which isnt too bad since the 6 spd has a 4.46 first gear.
