@Bent77 , remember that there was one puck on a side, the other had a stack of strap, but nothing for give on the bottom.
But thanks for welding the piece of strap to the bolt heads, I was able to get the nuts off!

Oh, and I think that I forgot to mention, after I played with the fan shroud dome more last year , I never had it hit the fan again!!!!

So after I looked again today, what the hell is mung board?????

And just one picture from tonight, but I did get the accessory stuff all off, just the water pump left on the front. Everything is unplugged except for the ignition.

Worked on it a little bit today. The main shop was sorta full, and I was too lazy to move 2 trucks so that I could leave the freshly painted one inside along with the one that has parts off of the engine , and still get the K5 inside with the forklift .....
So I just worked in the non-heated shop until I got to where I needed the trans jack. It was raining decently by then, so I just quit and went for lunch and a haircut.

@Bent77 , I don't think that those are solid engine mounts. I see urethane.

You must have had some mung in your eyes.....

Side note, I leaned on the master cylinder with one had to reach for the oil pressure switch. The amount that the windshield frame moved was amazing!!!! No torsion boxes or front clip to brace it.

I haven't gone through this whole thread yet, have you posted any pics of the new rig, or is this just tear down of the bent/rebent rig so far?
