I can only surmise you got mad and burned the truck with your phone still in it

I been trying to keep quietly working....
Trying to reach my goal. I hope to have a decent update tomorrow night.
My Dad helped me a little today, and I found him, (79 yrs old) rolling around under it on the creeper. He said that he likes what he saw. He noticed lots of stuff that he had never known about, and some other things.
:D
I didn't see where he went at first, got to wondering, and then found him.
:woot:

Coffee time is over

My son helped me today! We don't think that we have the brakes bled properly yet, but it stops fine. T- case sticks are done except for the shift boots. We got the top back on and the windows in. The vinyl floor is half done. Front seats in.
We took it for a short ride before we had to get home for family dinner at mom's.
I didn't remember to take a picture when it was outside, but I painted the top silver to try and get rid of some heat, since it had a black top. I didn't want white on it.

So tonight I tried to check some stuff out. I feel 80% confident that the front driveshaft will work, even though it may be better if it was 3/4" longer.
I did get to see that some of it is coming out nicely, as the pitman arm has enough room above the springs. The fenders are due for more work...
There is 36" under the rear tire in this pic, but I can't turn the front tire.. :doah:

And this shows the silver on the roof better!

Those gm metal? You going to hack them? Should buy some lmc ones to hack. And save those.
If you look, the front is already missing the fangs, and there is a little missing from the back. It just needs more removed.
And wouldn't buy LMC ones, cuz they would think that they have a good product based on sales #s. And they are crap!
Besides, I have a spare front clip out with the spare '90.

Well the front shaft was already set up with 1350 joints in all 3 locations. The size of it is slightly worrisome since I know how to scuff up a 1310 front shaft...
But anyway, I changed the yoke on the D60 and installed it. While I was 7nder it, I had a minute to look at how some of it is working out. If you look at this pic, you can see how close the shock tower is to the evaporator case, and also how much room there is with the exhaust not going through there.
Not anything grand, but I was pleased.

I hope you don't have a top shock bolt fall out like I did. In my case it put a lot of little dents in the hood, but in yours......

Of course you know my feelings about AC on the trail anyway. :p:

Whoa, wait; this truck is supposed to go to Blazer Bash?! Are we talking about the 2018 event or 2019? :what:

Are you going to drive this to Moab or trailer?
I am doing all of this work so that it's more comfortable to drive to Moab or wherever, but also ride better offroad.

Of course I am trying to get it done for 2018, like next week....
And I hope that since I tightened the shock bolts, with lock washers, maybe I will be lucky.
And your thoughts about A/C are entertaining,, cuz I followed you in '14 while you flung the doors open whenever you could. In a white truck.....
:haha:
