I decided to stick my neck/wallet out and try what I hope is an improvement over a 4 barrel TBI. I like the idea of a remote mounted ECM, but this did cause some extra work. I hope for better results from the sequential injection, and getting a complete intake and fuel package. This system also keeps the ECM controlling the ignition, which I felt was a requirement for me, since the factory stuff had it. No sense in going backwards.
It was very difficult for me to pull good condition TBI wiring out of a factory truck after I had re-loomed it when the body was off. Remember that my son had also made the adapter/spacer for it. No use now...
I didn't want to continue putting time and money into the slow , antiquated system, even though it is reliable. I didn't want to drop in a stock replacement TBI engine, (didn't have a good one anyway) and going LS would have cost more, and left me with a good engine sitting.
I found people posting up all over the place, upset with EVERY system. And satisfied people too.
So I made my choice , and here I go.
