Those heads are going to be awesome.

P.S. should have gone BigBlock...
I found too many $$ in parts from the previous owner to leave this engine. Budget comes into play some as well.

Only thing better than a v-8 is a BIGGER V8.....HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAaaa
I would like to think that some years down the road, I can add some cubes.

Nice choice
Thanks! It took a good amount of help and discussion with @Bent77 and @500$k5 to make myself comfortable with the decision.
Which is why I posted about having good friends is great!!!!

Nope!!!!!! And I even set one of them on the kitchen counter for a while !!!
She told me that I could let myself smile more, I guess I was thinking too hard....

The box said 59lbs. Both heads in one box.
I am curious to see how much the difference is.

I spent some time cleaning very well so that I hopefully won't have leaks. This meant that I just got this far.... gotta clean some rockers and start checking alignment of the guide plates.

Thanks! It had the serp belt system before. I should have washed the engine before I parked it and pulled it. Besides a little oil, there is still some Moab dust stuck in places.
I want to try and make the brackets look a little better than they do now. The flash of the heads is going to have an affect. ..

The fiberglass top from the '72 got cut up months ago. I kept the front section and the rear piece in case plans changed , I could make a long half cab.

I need to remember to take pictures of the bent places in the truck frame.
Remember how you commented on that when I looked at it???
Lol!

I'd be curious to look at those.

Are you going to be able to make a summer wagon out of it?

I doubt that I will. Too many things to do already. And we just added another vehicle to our insurance for the daughter.
Part of me is ready to get rid if some things as it is. And remember that I still have the spare '90 here at the house....
