I was excited to open the box which contained the smallest and most expensive headers that I have ever purchased!
Obviously I have always watched the bottom line more. I hope that these will make it a little easier to cross the exhaust over, and possibly help not build understood heat as bad.
Unfortunately, I have to admit that @Bent77 has a longer set than I do....
:doah::1zhelp:

And this is for the comments that I know will, or would have happened regardless of what I post...

And I got away with having headers in the living room !!!!!!!!

First time laying short pipe on the rug?

MADE SOME PROGRESS!!
I had a rear shackle get bent while trying to press the old bushing out. I had already placed another order from ORD which was shipped, had already spent money on headers, so I decided to see if I could build some. @azblazer had given me a pile of parts over the years , ( Thanks DW)
which included a bushing kit for the rear from Energy Suspension, and he gave me some 1/4" strap, 4"wide. :pimp:
So I don't have grand skills, but I am pleased with the end result. And I built something for this myself!
Cleaned up the rear springs and pressed out the old bushings, got them hanging from the frame!
I ran into the same problem with the new headers as the old rams horn style manifolds. Apparently the Edelbrock heads have the exhaust port tucked in slightly as @Bent77 had suggested weeks ago. One of the head bolts hit the right collector. After playing 'phone-a-friend' with 2 buddies, I felt less crazy putting a dimple in a brand new coated header. It now clears the bolt! I am excited to have lots of room to work because of the exit location. I feel confident that I wouldn't be able to use these without the ORD engine mounts.

I bet squeezing that header in the press was a serious pucker factor. Looking awesome.

Thanks!!
And yes, bumping the switch was combined with holding my breath a little.
@Bent77 told me that I was loco, and hard headed..
But I did try his technique first!

Yeah you probably hit it like a Sally

Funny thing being I didn’t get jet hot in case they didn’t fit, and I think I’m gonna be good. You did get the jet hot and had to smack it like a red headed stepchild

After watching the engine masters eppisode on YouTube I should have bashed my header rather then my firewall lip... But that will change when I flip them over for a hair dryer....

Nah, I used a 4 lb sledge and a punch, and the press wasn't like beating the crap out of it!!
