Jimmy rebuild thread

I have one to put back on it. I really like having fender wells.

The old fender was pushed in so the new used door would not open or close past it.

A hammer fixes that. Mine needs hammer adjustment after just about every run.

This was more than a hammer. I thought abought trying a porta power or digging bar. I have a fender to put on it, so that is where I am.

Same system. It was taken off during BB21 when I broke the steering box. New one is metric, so the cap from the old box would not work on the new one. So the core was returned with drilled top and front caps.

Done with it. Haven't used it since BB21. Have to many other projects to take care of.

If I could sell it for decent money, I would. I doubt anyone would buy it. I think it is worth more parted out. I could use the shocks on the 48.

I'm in the same boat. Getting rid of my rig, but not sure exactly who would buy it.

Have you thought about posting it here just to see who's interested? There's gotta be someone who wants a long travel rig but doesn't want to put in the work to build one.

:dunno:

I kicked it around. Had someone offer me 1/2 of what the shocks are worth. If I part it out, I end up keeping anything of value. The engine has been flogged a few times, but is really low hours. Only daily driven for 6 months, and I was not working then. Other than that, it just has wheeling hours on it. The transmission was a new GM 500 miles before I bought the truck. Not a rebuilt. The Currie extreme duty 9" rear end could go into a future hot rod build.

If someone wanted to, they could use the frame and body as is or truggy the thing and put leafs back under it. The hangers are already gone. Frame and cage are tied in 24 places, so very rigid and not bent. The only rust is on the door and fender I just put on it.

So I don't know.

There’s definitely somebody out there that would buy it. It’s just finding them. Your rig be be an awesome k5 pre runner. And Loki is getting popular on the net lately. If I had any money….

I’d be interested in the frame cage setup, could shorten my wheelbase some
