K10: Built HP60/241-205 Doubler/tons of tube

Yes I understood immediately what it was for. No one ever sees the fail cuz it gets cut into scrap spare parts

I worked on the frame tie-ins this morning and while working on the second one USPS showed up with a box from Kert with the seat mounting tabs so I finished the second tie-in and switched back to mounting the seats.

Overall I'm happy with the way they sit. I got up in there and it's comfortable. There's sufficient head room and with the harnesses on I don't see people my size or smaller having any problems.

Here's the front two places where it goes from the cage plates to the frame. I'm not burning them in yet because I want to wait until I get my tires and make sure the clearance is sufficient. I measured a lot and turned the hubs back and forth to get a good idea where the tire was going to be and I think it'll be good but I want to be 100% sure before welding it in.

I just used some of Kert's GP2 tabs with a 3/8" hole to mount the seats. Should be plenty strong.

Cut up some tabs and got them welded on for the lap belts. I picked up some long 1/2" grade 8 bolts that I'll cut the threads down on so its all shank going through the tabs.

Also mounted the seats one last time for mock-up and figured out where the rear harness bar needed to be and got it notched and welded in.

It's starting to finally look like some sort of cage. Tube coming in and out of everywhere. :)

Fab looks top notch dude. :thumb: Yours is an interesting design that I don't think I've seen before. I'm feeling it.

I stood around the truck tonight thinking about dash layout and how to locate everything up underneath it.
Had a couple boxes show up too. A big heater and some passenger/defroster vents with some plumbing. Should be nice to have heat and a clear windshield!

Always two good things to have. So are you going to ditch your blower motor and heater core and associated stuff altogether then? Or did you already do that?

Ran by the place I get fittings/seals for work tonight on the way home and they had just what I needed for this heater. The radiator and water pump are setup for 3/4" line but the heater core on the heater is 5/8". Plus I wanted a bulkhead style fitting so no hoses are running through the firewall.

Ended up with this. Bulkhead fitting that also adapts from 5/8" to 3/4".

I had hoped to get both of the rear tie-ins to the frame done tonight but only managed to get the passenger side done. It fought me a bit but in the end I'm happy with the outcome. I'd like to tie this tube into the tube running from the frame to the sliders eventually too.

what kit is that?
Ive gutted my jimmy of the ac/heater box and may just go with what you have.
looks way more compact and convenient than stock stuff

It is pretty compact. It's all just Summit racing stuff.

I got the one with 3 outputs because it wasn't that much more and gives you a spot for a dedicated line to each vent and the defroster kit is designed to be used with a "Y" pipe (comes with it) so it only needs one of the heater outputs to run it.
Also comes with a decent looking switch for low/med/high.

I'm working on getting it mounted and plumbed tomorrow but preliminary hold it in place and eye ball it looks like it'll fit on the firewall in front of the passenger where the factory stuff came through.
