L18 8.1L swap resource thread

ATTENTION:
Do not assume that since you’ve been doing this wrench-turning thing for many decades that you will automatically NOT make any mistakes.
If you all will remember, I just got done installing this engine.
Meaning I just did this.
I’ll let the two pictures speak for themselves.
Pic 1. Is of what I found, now that I looked for it.

Picture 2. Is what is left after I made the repair.
Those are the spark plug wires for cylinders 2 and four

Doh!!!!

Well, that’s an easy fix! Don’t sweat it dude. That’s anybody’s thrash to get it together and squint just right at the first pic and it almost looks right the way they cross.

So now that you found it how’s it run now?

Starts right up, runs a bit rich now, I can smell it. No backfires!
I’ll bet it clears up a bit after it runs for a while.
I’m back to 12+ hours a day at work so…weekends!
