linked one ton escalade (coming back soon)

So finally looked st that Dana 80, its an AAM 11.5 lol.

Also cruised around in the Escalade. It destroyed the carrier bearing while driving. Not really sure why, but maybe I’ll just build something with a pillow block

had our local GM mechanic friend come look at the kodiak, he figured out why it was shutting off, water temp sensor. But the knocking noise it’s making we aren’t sure about, thinking possibly broken crank. Runs, has oil pressure, it’s not fuel knock.

So my dad just bought 4 single axle semis for very very very cheap from Pepsi, pretty sure they’re all 8.3s and they have an automatic. So throw one of those onto my bus frame, axletechs, 4 door Escalade body and a long flatbed?

Want to trade one for some Axletech 4000's and an Axletech T600 transfer case with driveshafts?

If they have a 8.3 liter Cummins, I am interested.

Air brakes?

Yes air brakes, the 3 freightliners are 98’s so they’re the newer 24 valve style 8.3 right? Then there is a 97 ford which should be the older mechanical 8.3

2 freightliners are auto and 1 is manual I guess. Got 2 autos home

Had a chance to buy one of those not long ago with a 50 series Detroit and 7 speed. Still kicking myself for not buying one of the three that were for sale

I think the 98’s should be 24 valves and the ‘97 could be either? I am not sure.

What is the Ford? F800? Are all of the Freightliner’s FL70’s? What Allison do they have? 3060? What transmission is in the standard one? How many hours and miles are on them? What is the GVWR?

Yeah...that’s all gonna have to wait until tomorrow

Going to try and make it to Idaho tuff truck challenge. Planning on moving the coilover mounts from on top to in front of the front axle and behind the rear, with something like these, should lower it a couple inches, and hopefully find some steel arms for the rear sway bar.

So I found 2 new Dana 70/80 arb lockers for $500 each. Problem is 1 is 32 spline and 1 is 37... figured I could just buy the 2 side gears cheap and make them 35 spline, but it looks like it’s $500 or more for a spider gear kit. That seems rediculous. So if I just buy the 37 spline for now, when I order custom axleshafts for rear steer anyway is 37 spline cost much more? Probably have to get different deals.

Someone bought both of them right after I posted this. I regret not buying them now.

Ok I finally added a ground pin in 16 for it to shift right in low range. But it still doesn’t. Since the Escalade never had low range am I going to have to add it?

Not sure about your question...but you are still planning on coming to ITTC in a few weeks right? Is the escalade gonna be ready?

Didn’t really get anything done on it, lowered the front a little, but those mounts I ordered didn’t come yet. So I might just now worry about it, fixed the rear carrier bearing, but if you watch the video it looks like there is a ton of movement in the driveshaft, maybe need a pillow block so there isn’t so much movement?

Still planning on going to ITTC, just wish the thing was a lot more stable, I’ll probably remove the interior and doors for that.

It does not. I didn’t know if that was something I could add, I’ve never really used my HPtuners. I’ll hsve to find it
