linked one ton escalade (coming back soon)

Finally got the shifter for the transfercase mounted, now I don’t really need to worry about 4low shifting I guess since I can put it in 4 high without getting underneath lol

Taking all the interior out was a pain in the ass. Wish I was ready to put the cage in now.

It’s pretty low, but that picture makes it worse, probably 2 inches lower than it was factory since I Zd it over. I’m just glad it’s done, because I haven’t been looking forward to putting it in for a long time.

Wtf do I weigh 8000+ or some redonkulous amount.

And awesome you figured out the 4WL.

I did a tune on one of those awhile back, all I did was bring in power enrichment at 1000 rpm with no delay and a quick ramp in, updated the O2s to Camaro SS style lean/rich scales, added *2 to the entire timing curve, copied the high octane table to the low, added 30 or so psi to all the tranny tables, and copied over a bit of tow haul stuff in.

It left the driveway sideways until 2nd, and ran awesome.

Then blew 3rd.

I think I’m gonna wait for the 4l80 to do anything to the motor lol :rotfl:

It's probably wise.

The 80e swap is easy anywayss. Just moving two pins in the grey connector and bolting it up and whatever comes with that.

The segment swap in the tune is the pita part if you do it yourself. That's where all the differences is between the 80e and 60/65e is really.

The HPTuner did come with a few stock files you could go through and possibly get lucky with a 80e segment to examine and copy and paste, or your going to have to find it, or outsource it to someone who has it. Or the hptuner website occasionally has the whatever it's called up with a bunch of tunes posted all over in it.

Edit . The repository is what it's called on the site.

Tied for 13th overall, did pretty good in the tow test, obstacle course, and mud. Got lucky and was 3rd I’m the rocks, walked though the first section easy. Went to climb over the tire pile and the front end sunk deep in mud and there was no way I was getting over so I called it. They ended up changing the course because the mud wasn’t suppose to be there and the holes I dug were so deep. They let me rerun at the end but when I went to winch it died and wouldn’t start again.

So; I have an idea for a crazy hauler build(this is like the 7th one??). My dad and I bought a large service truck from where we work very very cheap. Like a big service box that would go on a medium duty service truck, air compressor, crane, work bench on the back and lots of storage. We still have 6 or 7 of these single axle Pepsi semis. I’m thinking lengthen one and put the utility box on the back and like a 10-12ft “camper” in between the cab and box. Would still be a reasonable wheelbase for driving and could pull a short trailer with the Escalade on it.

And then eventually axletechs.

That’s a lot of money to a broke Nebraska kid
Pretty cool though, I’d want more camper and less storage.
