linked one ton escalade (coming back soon)

Got the 205 tore down and now soaking in the parts cleaner, I’m just going to order already modified rails to twin stick it I think and a gasket kit and 1 bearing. Also planning on cutting off the large mounting foot, or at least trimming it. welding a plate back over that make me nervous though, the welding and cooling down slowly process doesn’t sound like something I’m going to be good at.

Probably going to use a flange style front yoke so I can build a 1480/ Dana 60 shaft front driveshaft. Similar to what @nvrenuf did for his driveshaft. Where’s a good place to order flanges and yokes? 1410 rear also

Or maybe there is a 1480 yoke that will just bolt on to a 205, that would be even better.

Busted Knuckle, WFO, ORD those guys all sell various flanges and I know at least busted knuckle offers a 1480 yoke for the 32 spline output.

My 205 gasket and seal kit came in. I even got today off work but ended up making a 5th wheel mount to move my camper instead of working on the 205. Boring but needed done.

The gasket and seal kit was $18.99, I feel like that’s was really cheap? Got 1 bearing that was also $10 and 2 trans to transfercase gaskets for $.89 each.

This is weird, I was going to message you later. To see where you got yours

My flange is from HAD. I do need a second one still. I think @sweetk30 is selling a pair of them.

Where did you get the adaptor gasket? My 205 kit came with the one on the case side, but I need the square O ring and the trans side one.

Starting to put he 205 back together, put the idler gears in it and there is play in them. Is that normal? Front to back play, like it needs a shin between the case and bearing.

no..... its shim as needed like any other tapered bearing setup . . stephen at ord said zero - .002 end play in the case .

dont forget if you get lost look here .

and yes i have 2 flanges for sale boys . in the sale section .

I got it figured out, I hadn’t tightened the nut on the end enough yet. I’ll go check out your sale post.

Got the ring pressed in the ecobox. Started going crooked so I just went around the edge little by little. My arm is very sore.

All together. So cool. Paint is drying on the Beyond precise rear brace. Going to solid mount the rear brace and trans mount to each other. Then rubber mount the assembly to the chassis I think

Does anyone know where to get parts for Yukon zip lockers? Like internal parts.

I bought(until my buddy pays me back) a $500 Chevy the other day. He has been dailying it. He has also ordered, a front 3 link kit, decent lift leafs for the rear, a SYE, picked up a set of 04 superduty axles, the 5.13 gears got here tonight, Yukon zip locker. Ordering the Artec swap truss soon And some other little things, we are going to try and throw it all together in 2 weekends. As he lives a ways away.

Him buying the zip locker reminded me I had one somewhere, so I tore back into it tonight, the center pin and center 2 spider gears have gotten really hot and the pin won’t slide out. I can hammer it part way but will probably have to use the press tomorrow. So I’m looking to see if there’s anywhere I can buy a new center pin and shims and spider gears.
