Did you feel that 5.2 earth quake a couple of days ago? The area you live in is always having earth quakes. I remember back in the early 90,s being out on the trail where the state marker for where they shot down Willy Boy is, and a massive 6.2 earth quake hit.

That's gnarly, I have been in the exact spot your talking about, I cannot imagine being there during a quake that big.. Funny thing is I did feel it and mostly slept through it. In the past quakes scare the day lights out of me... Like jump outa bed screaming running somewhere I don't know.. But the last few.. Meh. It might be that ma parents house is on the fault line, literally.. That might be why it was worse down the hill vs up here. And I look at it this way, I'll have beachfront property should there be a tsunami or other catastrophe.

I was in Joshua Tree during the 7.3 Landers quake. That was exciting.

Screw that.. I saw the fissures in landers, my uncle had a house off Reche rd.. Literally miles from the epicenter.. No thanks.

We had a 6.0 here with at least 10 after shakes about a year ago. I've honestly never been that scared in my life except when I got between an injured deer and a bear in the night.

It was like having a car drive through the house. I remember being out of bed before I came too and dragging the dog outside as the house clapped it's way through. I thought I was being lowered into hell or something.

I really hate the feeling of being helpless.

My neighbors house is about 8 feet up on stilts at that time. I went to see if he was OK and he said he slipped on aunt Jemima and was covered in pancake syrup haha!

My house was built in 1924 so she's battle tested and strong boned!

I hate that feeling to and Mother Nature sure has a way of reminding you how little you can be..
I prepare as best I can, I have 50 gallons of purified water, plus the little emergency baggies of water just in case, and emergency kit the 5 gallon kind with misc supplies, 25 lbs of rice, horses, a friend with a well, another friend with water if you dig, and a truck with no electronics, and a gun to fight my way to a bigger gun should the zombies flood town..

Best transmission thread ever.

Yeah I need to get together a go bag.

I need more ammo too.

I do have beer and a welder just in case.

Not in the bay for the 89? That focker was a roller coaster!

That describes the feeling of an earth quake alright. You feel like a tiny little ant about to have a 100,000 pound shoe stomp on you.

NV4500 is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up.

Wow, I haven't thought of Reche Road in a long time. We used to camp out around Giant Rock (before a chunk fell off it) all the time.

And yeah, that was a wild ride. I could literally see the house twisting, the walls and ceiling were going out of square.

Whats it feel like when you're driving and there is an earthquake? I've never been in an earthquake before...
