LS swap 88 jimmy

Father and Son project
LMC selling InLine Tube now? I wonder if the price is any different than ordering direct from them.

How'd they fit?

Front fit decently with a little work. Didn’t really shop around so not sure on price difference. Waiting on the caliber brake lines to come in to finish out the brakes. They could still use a little work to look perfect.

Got the 4l60 bolted up to see how it would look. Noticed the motor oil pan hitting the crossmember so that will need a little work. The advanced adapter looks good and exactly what was needed for the swap.

No picture for this update. Finished plumbing the brake lines with the calibers and drum brakes finished. Rolled it on the rack to see what needs to be modified to the engine and transmission crossmembers. Not much done but just a little progress.

Fuel tank and skid plate installed. Fuel filter/regulator/lines ran. Motor and transmission are in final spot. IMG_3520.jpeg

May have time to put core support and transfer case on tomorrow.

Where'd you get the harness?
I forget what brand it is. We got it off a friend. It’s not very user friendly though. No markings and seems to be missing a few plugs. Also only looked at it for about 15 min today. Don’t know if we will have anymore time to work on it this week. To get it all plugged in.

Wire harness is Jolt Systems…I think we got it figured out…great customer service…give Ryan a call.

Pretty much all plugged up. Just waiting on a maf and water temp pig tail. Pretty close to firing this thing up!!!

That’s awesome. You’ve built an entire truck in less time than it’s taken me to finish a single fuel injection system.

Post up if you are going to make it to cruising, us gulf coast members normally meet up at least once to meet and eat.
Will most likely make it with or without the truck. My dad goes every year and brings his nova. I’ve never made out there so this is a motivation to bring something to show off.
