LSX454 swapped 95 BASS burb.

Little lower, little cooler, bigger sounds.
Yeah I'm expecting the gauge will start a rapid decent somewhere here. Still better than the dually, which would have ate 25-28 gallons already lol

In pretty good shape for that too.

Kid I got it from said the original owner was a traveling salesman. And the was second owner and does radio tower repair. So almost all of it is probably highway.

The original owner said the engine was rebuilt at 300,000. But there's no paperwork to prove it. Trans seems to shift and work well, so that almost had to have been rebuilt at some point also.

I gotta get more pics of it. Been running around the last few days and haven't gotten a chance yet

Finally went out and snapped some pics. The interior needs a GOOD cleaning.
And a drivers seat. I'll probably put different seats in it though.
Rear seat looks like somebody got murdered in it :doah:. But the stain isn't red by the eye.

The dent is bad enough it won't be just popped out. That sucks.

And this is the only real rust I've found. All drivers side... There is a tiny bubble on the pass front. But it's still super tiny.

Pass rear door doesn't open from either side.

.... I never looked real close at the rear fender on the driver's side. So that rust is worse than I thought. But it's still fixable.

Stain on the pass floor is wet... That'll take some investigating.

Balancer is bad :doah:.. glad I seen it now.
I was changing the idler pulley and belt. Started it up after wards and seen the balancer wobbling.

Also not sure I like the pmd mounting. There's only an aluminum plate, not a heat sink.

Also have an exhaust leak at the driver's side crossover pipe to manifold. 1 bolt is broke and the other 2 were tightened wrong.

I want to pull it apart so I can try and remove the broken bolt. And maybe chase tap the holes.
I got it tighter than it was but it's still gonna leak.

That'd be awesome :D. If I had the time to mess with it all I'd like to put the 6.5 in the dually and 496 this.:saweet:

But I don't, and won't lol

I'm told there's a good one in CR too. Haven't been to either...

6.0 is actually what I'm thinking of for the dually. It'll be a while though

If you ever do get the itch, let me know. You might hit me on a day of weakness.
Or not.

Tax return got deposited today. So I pulled the trigger and ordered the fluidampr, the correct installer, and a seal.

I kinda think I need to change the oil again... I changed it the other day, and haven't started it since. I started it today, backed it out of the shop, and shut it off.

Then started it again, and pulled it back into the shop. Then shut it off.
A couple minutes later I checked the oil again. This is the oil from the stick after the second dip.
