LSX454 swapped 95 BASS burb.

Little lower, little cooler, bigger sounds.
Hmmm, wonder why my 4l60 doesn’t have that option wish I knew what the line pressure was

No big pieces. All powdery chit. And I used aluminum coat bearings. .... :dunno:
I'm going to do the next one at 100 miles again and see how that one goes.

Oil pressure still looks decent. And it all runs good. So I guess I'll just see how it goes.

If it turns out it has to come out, it's going to get a full forged and balanced stroker kit lol.

I'm not gonna worry about it until something actually shows problems. One thing I do remember is that upon original start up it had a cricket/squeak sound that I later learned could have been a lifter roller stuck. It came out of it in minutes. But it was there.
As long as it runs good, I'm gonna enjoy it and keep my fingers crossed.

I had a thought. No idea why it took this long.
But, the assembly lube I used heavily when I put this motor together is the color of that oil. Even has a silvery sheen to it in the light lol.

Second drop photos wrong, but in person is better.
When I check the oil now I have to be in the right light because I can barely see the oil on the stick. Too clear looking.
So hopefully it was just me tricking my self lol.

The canam sxs's look like that on first oil change because of the assy lube they use. Normal for them.

Well..... Chit :frown

Built this so far as a DD and occasional burnout machine.

Not sure really how to tune yet. Have about 1000 miles on it already.
Decided it's running good and had some miles, I'll try a burnout.
Either I have the best damn tires around, or this fuggers a pooch.

I couldn't do a burnout power braking on wet pavement.
Tried a few different ways dry, wet, Power brake, no power brake,. Doesn't matter.
Won't spin a tire.
Gravel it does alright. Pavement, not a chance.
Any old bone stock 5.3 I've ever driven can eak out a burnout one way or another. This is a 6.0 bored out with a small but still over stock cam and more compression.

I'm kind of disheartened. :notworthy:

Kick it in passing gear at 45 and it's a whole different beast. Even though the trans limits the rpms available with the current shift points. It still pulls hard as hell up to the 4500 or so max it'll reach.

I tried the brake on stall speed check Wich if I'm reading that correctly is only about 1500. ...? I'm pretty sure I used the converter that came with the lq4. Which I thought was like 2000-2200 stock. So maybe I just need more converter. I dunno.
I'll be more concerned after I get it tuned and stuff I guess.

Right now it has 3.73s, and 31.6" tall tires, which isn't helping.
Also has a locked in lock up g80.

Eventually here it gets 4.?? Gears, a true trac, and 30.5" tires. Which will help a bunch.
Once I get those things all done it goes to a chassis Dyno for professional tuning.
With any luck it'll do real burnouts then lol.

Whatever it set from base and learn.
I have no idea how to set that stuff up.
Only things I e really done are adjust the lockup converter so that it'll lockup at 45 since I do a lot of cruising at that with the roads around here.
I haven't adjusted air, fuel, timing, etc. At all.

All the videos I've watched that say, FOR BEGINNERS, either don't know what a beginner is, or I'm dumber than I thought. Lol

Hard to read off a computer screen pic. But hopefully it'll give an idea where I'm at.
