LSX454 swapped 95 BASS burb.

Little lower, little cooler, bigger sounds.
That is true.
My son's 04 burb half ton is one of the ones I compare to. But it does still seem to have more initial umpff. Same gears.
This one definitely smokes it past 15-20 mph though.

Got this back in the shop. Cleaned up a couple places where the paint flaked off and a few that had surface rust bubbles.
Used Rust-Oleum rust converter (snake oil?:dunno:) and primer/painted them.

Then a full layer of deadener.

I have to route my RCA signal wires along the drive line hump. Then it's carpet time:woot:.
I think Im going to add another speaker wire to each door for future expansion before I put the plastics back in. But they'll be going in shortly too. Hoping to have the interior 80% back together in the coming weeks.

I've never replaced a full carpet with new before. Done one from car to car. This looks like it's going to be a lot more involved lol.
I may need some bags of rock to set around and settle it for a bit . Then lots of trimming and figuring out where bolt holes need to go :doah:. It'll be worth it in the end though.

I do wish I had kept the old one and layed one over the other as a template. Too late now.

When you took off the old one, was there any padding under the driver's feet or is it just the carpet?
I spilled diesel there and I want to know involved the job of cleaning it will be.

There was padding under there.

Yeah. Kind of afraid to use it in there though.

There's been some study in the use of sound deadner. You dont need to do every square mm. You can do the center 65% or so of the big flat panels and get like 90% of the same deadening as the rest. Also, if you want to really get it quiet inside, a layer of closed cell foam on top of the deadner, then a layer of mlv on top of that. That stuff is heavy though...

No I want it... And it's what I was thinking about when I said I needed new ones.
Should have bought em last year. Procrastination got me though.
Luckily I'll have the money in a couple weeks. Planned to get a hold of you then.
For those, AND to see if you have any other goodies for sale lol.

I was going to get those seats. Then take those and the rears in and have them recovered at the same time. Along with the headliner.

Wow... You sold it all? Usually you have a bunch of stuff available. Lol

Since when? I don't typically stuff. Selling stuff defeats the purpose of hording stuff for 25 years.
I have sold you a couple things before just because. But I have nothing more I want to part with. I'm keeping my extra th400s and np205s.

Seems like every other time we talk you mention something you'd sell me or sold. So I just wasn't sure lol.
Figured maybe there was something in the goodies to go pile that'd be interesting.
Oh well.

Yep, I talk about it. That's true.
But very few parts actually ever leave.
But today I have nothing to sell. Try me again tomorrow. Tomorrow is a new day.
