LSX454 swapped 95 BASS burb.

Can't tell any difference in the 1-2 shift, 2-3 I do think is smoother and I plan to bump pressure up a tad now for that one.

Still using the same spot in the hash marks anyway...
 
Started on the final push of the stereo.
I got the battery tray done, but not mounted in.
And the steel part of the amp rack is almost complete.

Need to drill some holes, and cut angles on the ends of the 3" angle. Which are the bottom mounting flanges.
Sometime this week it'll be bolted in, and I'll be mounting amps :woot:

Um.... Pretty much like something in almost every genre.
My CD collection has BACH, Too Short, Slipknot, Ac/Dc, the doors, Alabama, Kenny rogers, Elvis, ICP, Metallica, etc.

All over the map lol.
One of my favorite CD'S ever is "The Simpsons Sing the Blues" lol
 
Final amp layout.
The one on the right is eventually being replaced with one almost identical sized to the red one.
At the very least, one identical to the middle one.

(The crossovers haven't been measured out yet.
Just thrown in approxamite.)

Amp rack bolt holes are all done and sub mounting is fabbed and ready.
All it is now is....

Mount amps/crossovers,
Bolt amp rack in,
Bolt subs in,
Bolt battery's down,
And wire it all up.

So friggin close:woot:
 
At first it'll be the 4 sets of 6.5"/1" tweeter combos,
And the 15"s.

Later I'll be adding 4 of these EPIQUE 7" in pods for mid bass.

The first point of the truck is BASS, and a lot of sound quality up to max.
Fast and burnouts are a secondary thought, but was easier and took less time lol.

I am just happy you're all the way in IA, not that I am not surrounded by similar trucks blasting their music and making my heart pound painfully.
I am too old for loud bass.
I grew up going to discos and spending my time 2 feet from 6' tall speakers on the dance floor from age 13 to 27, then I had enough.
I am surprised I still have excellent hearing
 
I usually do the low volume sound quality thing around town. Then go out in the country and park in a field driveway to beat the bass.
You can't really drive when it's up like that.
Your eyeballs vibrate sideways and crap. It's almost impossible to see. Lol

My last Big stereo, (about half this, maybe less), made one of my buddies open the back door and try to crawl out of the car at about 60mph because he couldn't breathe and panicked.

I haven't driven with one pumping hard since.

Not a lot done today.
But.....
I did get the battery rack mounted, the amps mounted on their rack, some crossover wiring done, and tidied up the wiring in the truck.

Yeah. Those are for the Infinity Kappa separates.
The small amp powers those for the 6.5"/1" in each door.
The middle amp will be for the 7" Dayton EPIQUE's
Of course the red is for the subs.
Little amp will have a high pass crossover set around 150-250 hz.
Middle will be set to run a band of 65 to 250-300ish
Subs from either 65 or 80 hz down.


I don't like the possible heat there.
But there will be fans blowing over the amps, so I'll see I guess.
