LSX454 swapped 95 BASS burb.

Little lower, little cooler, bigger sounds.
Somehow , while it was masked off, the windshield got broke.

Time to call Safelite I guess.
I had planned on doing so after this, because the drivers side is scratched... So not a biggie lol.IMG_20260708_173136359_HDR.jpg

I gotta say, anyone wanting to spray some paint...
BUY THIS SYSTEMIMG_20260708_181657717_MP.jpg

They have adapters for all kinds of guns.
Mix lines right on the cup.
And it allows you to spray at nearly any angle. Because it just sucks the thin cup in as it goes.

I mixed up a gallon and a half of paint in a marked mix bucket.
Then poured it all into those cups, and popped caps in them.
Once in there and capped, normal paint can just stay on a shelf. Activated paint, up to a few hrs supposedly.
I had to mix up 3 extra cups. For a total of 12. But had 1.5 left over.

When the gun sprayed out, just walk over, pop a new cup in, pull the cap, and attach to the gun.
All took about 20 seconds, and I was back spraying on the still wet line.

Pack of 10 cups with lids and caps is $11.

Here I am, sitting at work thinking " FOCK! I should have called off today."
I have a grille to finish and install, 2 bumpers to mount, fender fangs to get on, door panels and trim to do... Etc.

"WTF am I doing here? I have plenty of vacation left!"

:haha:

That's funny. I'm with you bud, 68 days and counting. I figure it'll pay off when I quit or wife gets it when I'm dead, whichever happens first. :D

'Burban is looking great man, keep it up!

Yes. Yes it was.

Gotta say, it was starting to get to the stall point where I almost didn't WANT to work on it.
Good thing it was so close to done lol

I'd say she's changed a little lol.

Can't wait to get the grille on.Screenshot_20260709-221833.png

Got the front fangs, and outer door window mouldings on. (Not in this pic)
Then got side tracked by friends.

Tomorrow night I'll be trying my azz off to get the grille finished up, and back on.

Just checked and Safelite is $282. NICE!

But, I don't want to let them do it for a while lol.
So I'm just going to stay with the cracked window until the end of this season. Either right before it's parked, or next spring right after it comes out.

Yeah, I can touch my paint, drive it, and all that now.
But they told us not to wash our Denali for 3 months after it was repaired at the best shop in our area. So I'll wait a bit before I let a stranger lean on it and chit.

I'm shooting for first drive around town next week. Monday or Tuesday. :thumb:
And probably an appointment for the front door windows to be tinted later the same week.

I gotta get full coverage on this yet.
I'm still just running liability. So it probably wouldn't. :dunno:

It's usually a separate add on since it's generally under the deductible amount on most policies. You can have just liability + window coverage, it's pretty common in AZ where every yard has gravel and gravel trucks drop rocks on every freeway daily.

A couple of years ago I got a windshield fully covered on my rusty old truck with basic coverage. Doesn't hurt to ask is all I'm saying.

My old agent that I had a really good long working relationship with, retired last year.
Some new dude is in his office now and took over my policies.
I haven't even met the guy. But my mom says the new people are not as friend like, and more cut to business.
Figure trying to get proper coverage on this will be my test on if I'm staying with him or not.

I won't make a claim on something as cheap as a windshield though.
Too much BS and one more claim they could hold against me later lol.
Between my wife and ex GF, I've had enough claims for a while :doah:
