Magik's 1987 Jimmy - Jiminy

Great write up...thanks..love reading what other guys are doing on there Blazers..(oops or jimmy's in this case )
...would you by chance still have the tailgate inside panel still removed ?...I have an 85 that i'm rebuilding the tailgate (electric internals) and i am getting conflicted answers on which way the bottom window sash (metal channel where glass is mounted to) is mounted to the regulator...is the "L" on the sash mounted up or down on the regulator arms ?
Thanks for any help you can give on this matter
Sorry ..oops just realized I sidetracked your build post....let me know if you want me to delete my interruption and i will

I do not have an "L" on the bottom sash. The regulator arm clearly shown in the left box of the picture above attaches to the bottom sash in a straight channel piece approximately 7 inches long.

yes ...isnt there a flat piece welded to the long sash that the window channel is in where it has 2 bolts connecting to the regulator arm (shown) on each end of glass ??
when i refer to the L piece I mean the bracket that is tacked on the window channel (sash) that is connected to both regulator arms
heres another pic i found on here...but mine is mounted upside down of this one..

ok ..thank you very much for the help..
now that i hijacked your build thread would you like me to delete all my posts and unclutter your buildthread ...LOl....sorry bout that ...appreciate the help (although i was hoping that pic was wrong ..lol )

You can leave your posts. Build threads are created to help others and give them ideas. They are designed to be an exchange of information.

It is funny how yesterday's "that's not so bad" has turned into "why in the hell did you buy that damn thing" when I mentioned $1450 to the wife.
:haha::haha::haha: Heard that one before....

Just read your whole thread, nice work.

I only have a couple hundred miles on my rebuilt tranny so I don't want to beat it just yet but I had to test Jiminy after last week's 19" snow storm. I was satisfied with the results.

I made a little progress this morning. I got the glass out of the tailgate and the tailgate off then started cutting.
