Yeah but that’s American money. So about the same Eh! Lol!

Actually i’ve been looking for the last couple years for the right set. These couldn’t have worked out better for me!

I bought a set forever ago for my stepside but the stock seat frame and the height of the floor doesn't jive. They might work ok in a blazer or suburban. But not in a truck with the tank humps.
Not without modification at least.

Those flares are huge! Are they actually bolted through the body, or are the bolts fake?

Fake. They put them on when the truck was brand new. I didn’t want them to do it but wasn’t our truck. Now I would be scared to take them off. And we are used to the look.
Does keep the truck clean and there is no rock chips.

Our old 02 sporting the H2s and Cooper muds off Colby’s 01, it’s just sitting there as a spare until Colby finds a newer truck to buy. Then I’ll just park it till I feel like fixing the injectors.

The 2012 ground the flex plate a few times since we got it! Enough of that shit! I don’t want the same crap as our old truck. Went and got a brand new Gm starter from the dealership.
Not too bad to replace after removing the inner fender liner, undoing the exhaust, prying it out of the way, removing the bolts for the pass side engine mounts and jacking the engine up about 3 inches.

The gear on the starter was beat up. The ring gear had a bit of rash but I’m not pulling the trans out to replace it....So far the new starter has been happy, if it starts grinding again we will have to get a new ring gear too.

We had to take the flares off the get the liner out. We took the back on off too just to check for rust. Man I wish grandma and grandpa never got those put on. No rust but the paint is scratched down to the point it needs paint. So they stay. Too bad.

Dang that's a bummer about the fenders. Does it have different rims on it driver and pass? How many miles?

Looks super clean. I wish mine was a crew cab

The wheels on it now are the factory 20’s with Toyo winter’s. We have a set of factory 18’s with summer tires for it as well.

134 thousand miles on it.
216 thousand klms

Man it looks so much better without those flares!

We know! Usually guys put them on to cover rust or for offset wheels. These have been on since brand new off the showroom.

Colour matched would be better.

But gotta say though, after driving the 12 for a while the 02 sure seems like a pile! Lol

On my '04 Dmax I had way back it had the same issue with the factory flares wearing into the paint on the edges. It was black and I had a local guy do from the body line down with spray on bed liner. He would tape off about an 1/8" outside the rub line from the flares and spray that area behind them as well and that would keep the rubbing from continuing and keep the rust away.

Lot of trucks done like that around here too.

Dug out a old set of PYOs and some bald m55s took them to the Hurterites to borrow their tire machine and swapped them on so we can use Colby’s new tires on his Dodge.
Noticed the drivers side tie rod has a ton of play. No wonder it wandered down the road.
Just going to add it to the list of things to fix on the old girl.
