My '70 C/10 - The Rat Bastard... [Won't Idle.]

The Starter is in, wires are run.

Bunch of other stupid things, too...
Like: ground straps, wire organizing tabs on hard to reach bolts, Loc-Tite'ing everything, etc.

It was 4 hours of random, little stuff.
The stuff that keeps the truck together and not on fire... :haha:

Hell... I forgot the motor even had firewall grounds, until this afternoon. :doah:

I still need the appropriate fan, and pulleys.
I DO NOT WANT to buy one of those ridiculous chrome sets.
Those are gawd awful.

I don't care how big that radiator is, you're not going to cool shiit with that cardboard blocking it :flipoff7:

Honestly don't waste your money an aftermarket fan. Measure your radiator and go to the junkyard and find a nice OEM set. I guarantee that you won't spend more than $40 and you'll have a higher quality fan. How do you plan on controlling the fans?

I was gonna use the manual switch method.
Always on, essentially.
With a switch to cut off the relay.

Everything I've read said Mechanical Fans are better, and Mech.+Electric is best.
But, I think a dual electric may work just fine for me.

Works for a lot of others.
This ain't Arizona, after all.

Hell... There's guys using ford Taurus fans, to cool big blocks.
The popular thing I'm finding, is a minimum of 2500 cfm for proper cooling,
And the Taurus fans pull 2800-5200

Edit: Yup... TAURUS fan, it is.... Pick-n-pull trip, on Friday. :D

keep in mind the Taurus, Windstar and especially the Mark VIII fans draw considerable juice, make sure your alt is up to the task..

Apparently, 3.8L fans are EVERYWHERE... :haha:

The LOW setting will be controlled by a regular 30A relay,
The HIGH, will be controlled by a Ford starter relay.

I guess it's a VERY common swap.
Everyone does it. :haha:

Is there NO other starter relay you can use!!!??? :D

Just kiddin. I have Ferd fans on my rig too.

You can see where Kert put mine while Dave and Eric pinned me down  :haha:

(Nah I let him put them on willingly lol)
