Went wheeling today. Tried to go last weekend and ended up having trouble with my fuel pump 150 yards into the trail

. So didn't really get to wheel at all, so decided to go again today. Went to Twin Cone trail at the top of Kenosha pass. It's not a very difficult trail, but the scenery was amazing. I did end up having issues with my fuel pump again, but I think I have figured out what is going on. Was able to get things fixed and off the trail.

It was a fun day. Got some things to work on to get the blazer and my tow rig in good running order, but all in all things went well. Saving up some money to finally get a cage in this thing too

Small update. First off, my brake master cylinder on the last run was leaking like crazy. not only was the snap on lid warped, but the seal from the reservoir where it connects to the metal was crap. So I picked up a new one. And in doing that, I found that my bleeder screws on my front calipers were rusted in and broke off. So decided that they were not really too expensive, and picked up some brand new ones





I just need to bleed the entire system...again

Also, I decided to change up my exhaust setup. My setup before wasn't bad at all, but two things made me want to change it. First, I still had cat's on this because when I first put it on my rig was still street legal. But my passenger side cat was really close to my TBI fuel filter and was getting it really hot. Also, I really want to inboard my rear shocks, but the exhaust was in the way to be able to do it. So decided to purchase some really cheap mufflers from the parts store and piece together my existing system







I think it turned out pretty good. It sounds good too. It has a deeper, throatier sound to it then my glasspacks before.

Haha, very true. That is the one thing glasspacks got going for them are cheap. I dont think they sound too bad, but just a little too high pitch load for me. I like the deeper sound
 
i went ahead and started a thread for chinaman in oct.. probably gonna be tricky with hunting and football .im still open all weekends in oct.
 
Decided before winter hit that I should do something to the deck of my trailer. It's still in pretty good shape but wanted to make it last as long as I could. So purchased some Rustolium Restore 10x from Home Depot. They had a pack of 2 gallons for $40. So decided to give it a shot. I think it turned out pretty good. FYI....the color is California Rustic

. I also added some weld on d-rings for easier points for straps when towing the blazer









And, here in the back of my truck is a model 32 bender that one of my buddies Craig (icehouse) is letting me borrow for the winter (literally the coolest, nicest guy on the planet)

I am going to practice first by finishing my rear bumper. Then when I figure some stuff out, I will start on my interior cage. Let the fun begin

Started my hand at some bending for my rear bumper. First off, had to build some sort of stand for my new bench vice. My bro had a bunch of left over wood so built a small table to mount it on so I could use the notcher. It's nothing special, but will work good for a while in my small two car garage.

I will finish weld these with my bro's 220v welder. It's pretty simple, but I think it turned out good for my first time bending with an actual good bender. I will probably build some quarter panel protection out of some smaller tube later, but I think this is a good start.
 
You're supposed to be out hunting so you can hit Chinaman's on the 26th!
 
haha, that isn't until next weekend. My elk tag is next weekend, and then the weekend after that is my deer tag. So hopefully I shot something during first weekend of deer, then I could go to chinaman :thumb:
 
Well then you should have been out at the rifle range... :p:
