My 86 K5 build

Haha

Other than driving it around my neighborhood...no. I hope I can get out sometime soon for maybe a sloppy snow run but been pretty busy and trying to get things figured out with my new crew cab (not only parts but getting the stupid truck back home) so that has been taking most of my time. But she is waiting patiently in the garage ready to go at any moment.

Side note:

You think you'll ever go full hydro?

Only if some components of my hydro assist ever go out (ex: my steering box gives up). I would probably still keep it very simple if I did full hydro and use the same or similar single ended ram I already have and keep the tie rod in the stock location (helps keep my stock knuckles lasting longer with 44's). But for now the steering feels great with the 44's so no real need to change it up (if it ain't broke don't fix it, ya know)

Well, it seems I am on the same page with you. I've got everything but the orbital to do full hydro, but would be going the single ended ram direction. Just debating if the swap would be worth it or not.

Went wheeling with my two oldest boys (4 and 3 yrs old) and my dad rode along with a bunch of guys from CK5. It was a really fun day. Had 6 fullsize rigs show up....minimal breakage. It was a good fun day. All I got was a crappy cell phone video of me on the rock garden....so sorry for the crappy quality, but better than nothing. I think a bunch of guys got some pics and vids while we were there, if I can get some of them downloaded I'll post them up

@Kay86K5 , I was going to tell you I know of several people that run their swampers at just 1 or 2 psi. A guy I used to run with would drop the pressure to 2psi in Denver when he loaded up and then would have to let a couple more psi out when he got to the trail at higher elevation. I always thought it was interesting that he was that deliberate about running the low pressure.

Why is he running higher PSI?

I ran at 5 psi in Moab and they seem to flex pretty well (picture below for reference....you can see the front tire folding pretty well). And I did drop the pressure at the trailhead to 5 psi too. After watching a few vids, maybe I will start dropping to 2 psi and see what type of difference that makes

I found a few more in scott's photobucket that I liked:

On my pit bulls I drove at relatively high speeds at low pressures to break the sidewall in some. Like 35 mph at 3 psi for 10 miles or so.

My tires didn't not need as much air out after I did that
