My new build...the "me too" short Crew Cab ~UPDATE~ not selling it

Fishplated the outside of the frame rail

The wife caught a pic of me welding up the shock hoops.

Got the coilovers mounted and cycled the suspension.
22 inches of travel and no axle steer.

Spring rates look good, ride height is within an inch of where I want it.
Which is good considering the bed, fuel cell etc have to be mounted.

Now I have to get the engine trans and t cases mounted so I can move on to the front suspension.
Considering an inverted 3 link...Opinions?

Looks good man. I always take note of my old projects versus my new ones and the lessons I learned and skill picked up. Not that the old truck was bad but you can so tell this time around you've been around the block before and it shows in your work!

I feel that my skills have improved, and I know Ive learned tons from my past build.
In this case it is better the second time around.

You should probably add a cross bar between the shock hoops, all the vehicle weight will want to push the hoops in.

Youre right, Im planning on it after I get the bed chopped and mounted.

Lets get up to date...

Got the engine, trans and tcases all bolted together

Built the triple shifters.

Reused the stock shift plate, I cut it in half and added another hole.
These things must be hardened, because a drill bit wouldnt even put a dent in it.
Had to use the torch and a reamer.

Made the handles out of some 5/8 round steel over 3/4 pipe.

all that leverage on the piviot point for the shifters you should make it a 2 bolt mount were it bolts to the rangebox/adaptor unit. just a idea.

and nice build sofar. kind of looks a little like mine if i ever finished it.
