My trucks winter build at a glance...

Dude did you win the lotto?:D

Man you got a lot of goodies lately, "Napolean Dynamite voice:" LUCKY!

I like those seats man, sure would like to see your rig up in person some day!

Maybe.....BB 05'

Those are Sway-a-Ways? Just currious, why did you choose those. I'm kicking around trying to caugh up the dough for coil-overs, but WOW they are expensive. Anyone got a connection? From what I can see, any dual rate coil over suitable for a full size is going to cost from $500-$600 per corner.

Lets see...

2.5 x 18 Emulsion $269
3 x 18 500lb coil $105
3 x 16 350lb coil $95
3 x something Tender Coil $80
Tripple Rate Kit $110

Total per corner $659 + tax and license

I chose sways because thats what I have in the rear and I like them.

Inner cage about 60% done:

More parts!

I took one out and hooked it to the battery and Holy Moly! One is brighter than both my old high beams  . And they put out a very flat, very wide beam, it's pretty cool, from 10 feet away the pattern is only 3 feet tall but about 20 feet wide :D

1410 Dodge diesel rear driveshaft mid ship carrier bearings, slip, and yokes off ebay for $40

Going to use them to make my new front and rear shafts. The cv parts for the front and weld yokes aren't here yet though...

Yokes for 205 and dana 60 from Northwest Fab. He didn't have them and had them dropped shipped from Jesse at High Angle.

what he said. Holy crap you've been grabbin some good parts. Great build up thread.. hopefully once i get good with my bender, things will progress half as fast on my rig as they do on yours!!!! :) great work. It seems like most people who do cool buildup stuff here on ck5 never take the time to snap a bunch of digital pics. hate to say it, but pirate guys are better at that than us. anyway, keep up the good work!

All my pics are 2000 something resolution so if you want any high detail stuff let me know. Just didn't want to post huge pics for the poor dialup guys.

Sniff, sniff... I guess my stuff is just not cool... :dunno:

LOL, I agree. I wish more people would share what they are building. But there are some, like one of the local guys I won't mention by name  who get all secretive and all. :p:

Dang Jason, what did you do, win the lottery or are you pimpin' yourself on the side or something? I'm setting here agonizing over whether to pony up for some coil overs, or continue with my ZJ coil plans, and every day you post another couple thousand dollars worth of parts and enough work accomplished that would take me 2 weeks to get done. Many, your giving me an inferiority complex or sumpin' here. :o

Nope, just very frugal :D

I haven't spent thousands on this whole project yet... I think I'm at around $2100 total so far... Well I guess that qualifies as thousands but it's not like 5 or 6...

I basically sold a GM 60 I was hiding, sold my old leafs, sfa brackets, a few diff covers, a tie rod, some zero rates I took off the truck, and some other stuff to pay for it all ;)

and your single. :D

Ahhh, now I understand... :D

Is that all? Your over $1k in the coilovers alone. I figured all the other goodies, the steel, and so on would be good for at least a couple more k. My rod ends and link hardware and materials alone ran me up to around $800 or so.

He's single until that nice mexican lady neighbor asks him to move again, and wants him to adjust the bed position

Good God I forgot about that why did you bring that back up????????????

Umm yeah, well hmm...

Russ, I had the joints already from an old project so I didn't include that in the cost since I bought them like 3 years ago... I get steel cheap when I buy in bulk and I get a student discount ;)

I think they are like $150 or so, I got them on ebay brand new from some ricer kid for $50 :D

lol, you are definitely a notable exception. ;) still, it seems like there are a dozen "my build up!" threads going on pirate at any given time. Im part of the problem over here too... but I am taking mad pics while I do my 52 swap... gonna do a writeup for that. Also gonna photo document everything when it comes to my taper-job, roll cage, winch rebuild and bumper-making. :cool1:

Where did you get the cables for the 205 shifters???????????

I am looking for something like that but have yet to find a sorce for something that size.
:D

The buildup threads on Pirate are different and new a lot. How often can you read a K5 buildup using the same parts? If they let me have my camera in class I'll post pictures as I go.
