Dang I was slow…
It’s sad that I know that about Jeeps - I hated working on those Quadratrac models in the early 90’s - they wore out easily and most of the owners never wanted to fix them properly.
At least they used the TH400 - although that was only because the CJ’s just used what the J series trucks were using already.
I imagine those TH400 cases with the AMC motors bell pattern and goofy long 10-spline tailshafts are worth a pretty penny to those that are infected with the Jeep “thing” mentality.
Damn, we just spread more off the wall Jeep knowledge - this has got to stop….

I was late to this conversation but yes those th400 are for some reason sought-after.
I had 2 of them with the quadratrack and I sold them to a guy putting them in land rovers behind the LS engine.
I had the wagoneers, 75

Well, by Florida & Alabama state laws it had been two weeks since the last car show so we were obligated to have another and it was damn nice !
