ord has kept me happy over the years. no real problems with shipping. no real price problems. fitment problems taken care of asap. sent me free stuff from time to time ( stickers) . but i will think long and hard for my next order as these past few months have had some bad press on there part. sorry but its not right to service people like this.

So a couple of complaints from a couple of people is enough to push you away from a company that has treated you after all this time? I guess your days of buying ANYTHING are done, unless you can show me a business that has not had ONE complaint EVER. Seriously, name me ONE company that doesn't get complaints from time to time. If you found out that every grocery store in your city had gotten the odd complaint(which is pretty much guaranteed), would you just stop buying food?

Wow, I can't believe how much joy everyone is taking in this. It's sad, really. I'm done here. I'm not perfect, so I obivously don't belong in this thread with all these perfect people that could run their business perfectly 100% of the time. :surepal:

Another note. Do you guys know what this kind of attitude will bring on? Stephen's just gonna delete all his online pricing for good, just like so many other companies have done. And that's gonna be great next time you want to price stuff out and budget the cost of a particular mod.

What goods a price Can Can thats not accurate?

actually Paul, you seem to forget that i spent nearly 3 years behind a parts counter. i bought plenty of parts, both from wholesalers, and manufacturers. when prices changed, there was notification made of it on rather short order. be it in the form of a phone call, a revised price sheet, something.

FWIW, there are ~200 prices on the ORD website. its not all that big of a task to set up a spreadsheet with those items, check the pricing, and then transfer them to the website.

after stepping back, i think what really pissed me off the most is the attitude Stephen took with me. i was as polite as a miffed customer could be, and then he comes at me with the attitude. that basically told me right there, i dont care about my customers.

for someone who makes their living selling truck parts and accessories, i would think that they would keep up on things like oricing on my website. i know i wouldnt want 200 calls from window shoppers looking for prices.
Are you sure it was Stephen? Did you not say you "thought" it was Stephen? People are allowed to not be rosey and cheerful all day everyday in my book.

Damn I am slow:doah:

if only i could count the number of times that i had to match a quoted or misprinted price. :surepal:

Well, it would be nice to know if I'm looking at a $40 purchase or a $400 purchase, for starters.

I have a great idea. Since so many of you claim to be able to update a website in no time flat, why don't you offer to do a price adjustment for ORD whenever he needs it? I mean, 15 minutes of your time is nothing, right? Heck, I'll pay you the $10 it's worth out of my own pocket to avoid this kind of **** slinging. :deal:

sorry, maybe i should have wrote "Stephen" instead. having only talked to him once before, the voice definitely sounded familiar. i assumed that guys who read the whole post would make the connection between Stephen, and the supposed Stephen.

when i'm getting 5% of the profits right off the top, yes it does.

BTW, we're talking $150K a month in sales, roughly $30-40K profit per month.

This isn't your average vendor.

ORD has ties back to the beginning, original members, including a lot of fabwork for the Owner of this site. These people put a lot of time and effort into Blazer Bash, that'd be the main K5 event every year.

Tread lightly fellas. There's plenty at stake besides your personal argument with the pricing discrepancy no matter how justified.

So you admit you've been guilty of providing inaccurate prices from time to time? My, how refreshingly ironic. Are you the pot or the kettle this time around??? :shame:

HAY BOYS STOP AND TAKE A BIG 5 MIN BREAK. LET IT GO. WE DONT NEED TO PI$$ ANYONE OFF NOW DO WE.

SOME OF YOU SHOULD KNOW BETTER. :eek1: :ignore:

i didnt provide the innacurate info... GM Goodwrench Service Plus did with a couple of their nifty little coupon flyer "ITS TIME TO CHANGE YOUR OIL" deals. or perhaps the insurance company, or even our own body shop estimates, which were generated with a computer program that estimates the cost of a repair part, that we have no control over the pricing in.

I think you fail to realize or remember that these sort of occurances with this company have become more numerous recently. Why are you so against people discussing their experiences? I think you need to relax a little bit Paul, I dont see how people are taking joy in it when all they are doing is sharing and talking about similar experiences....... Maybe that says something; everbody sharing similar, less than desirable, experiences with a company really sheds light on real problem.

Ah Ha
So even good ol GM makes a mistake.

Damn, jit sounds like I should move down south and hire all of you guys to do my work because you seem to be above price changes, misprints and mistakes.
If only I could be that perfect.

Like Can Can

I am out.

Because arguing on the internet is like being in the special olympics, even if you win your still retarded.

I think you need to relax a little bit Paul,

Yeah, now I'm the problem. As usual, the guy who doesn't jump on the bandwagon and help spread the poison is the "problem".....

What the real problem here is a mob is forming and everyone who says anything negative isn't required to provide any proof that their claim is legit. All they gotta say is "Yeah, ORD ****ed me around too", and everyone jumps up and says "SEE!!!! MORE proof." Yet nobody has answered the question I've asked TWICE ALREADY........???????? Typical.

Now I'm done for sure. I'd hate to wreck your little party.

I just ordered a bolt in steering brace kit from ORD this past Xmas because of the discount. It was my first dealing with ORD. The one complaint is that the package seemed to take a while to reach me here in Mass. But then again there was New Years, and the crazy snow storm in Colorado at the time too. I had only recieved the automated order confimation email and after a week I was currious I didn't recieve another email with a UPS tracking # in it. So I emailed ORD and they explained the situation and told me that I'd get it either Friday or Monday. I recieved it on Monday, and it is excellent quality of workmanship in the part, and the posted internet price was honored. I will order from ORD again.

idea for a new sub section.

VENDORS

VENDORS SALES______ VENDORS FEEDBACK SECTION.

this will keep it out of the wrong areas. and put up a warning sign enter at own risk and no life lines avalible.

this has gotten out of line for the garage.

i've posted the screen cap, and i will post the invoice when it gets here as well. proof enough? no attempt was made to "right" the situation, other than offering to cancel the order and turn the springs around and send them back to TC. had something, ANYTHING, been offered, this entire thread would not be happening right now.

I really don't think that we are going to find anybody that didn't get their problem solved by ORD. We can bitch about the shipping, the pricing on the website, and some may complain about the phone manners, but in my opinion that's little piddly stuff that shouldn't stop anybody from doing business with them.

There is a disclaimer on the website about pricing. Does that entitle Jeremy to a $30 ( or whatever) refund? That's not for me to say. It's not my business to run.
