OFFICIAL* Dante's Peak Suburban Build *

30 days before I have to head to Eric's house; to finish the front brush guard for the trip to Wallace there is hope on having the tires.

What happened with the tire carrier?

I had the exact same one on my K5, but I took the carrier and tailgate bracket off years and years ago.

I still have the fender mounts on the truck. I think my ex-wife still has the carrier and associated stuff in her garage...if you need it, I will face the blonde devil and give her a call.

The Hickey one was destroyed by the crack head (cut it up for scrap). We found a Valley Industries to replace it. Pictured here on a Bureau of Indian Affairs truck on the Southern Ute Indian Reservation in Colorado.

To get it we had to buy the truck with no motor. The body was sold for $300 and put towards the tires.

29th Annual Depot Days Classic Car & Motorcycle Show - May 9 & 10, 2014

You're Invited to Join us for a great Festival!

Stay Saturday night for a special screening of Dante's Peak and The Dante's Peak Suburban!
http://www.npdepot.org/depot-days.php

So the press starts :D 27 days to go.

They got the black paint done and will have the body side moldings on Wednesday. Then over to the shop for the lift and zero rate install. I brought the fuel can home tonight and got the argent spray paint for the rims.

Tires will be ordered Thursday and if Big O don't pull a fast one should be $20 to mount and balance all five! I have a feeling they are going to pull the "that was each tire" thing. But we will see.

I am waiting for the guy to call back that is doing the lift install.

27 days to go till I have to leave for Erics so he can weld up the louvers for the brush guard!

The tires are being bought direct from Mickey Thompson in Ohio. They will then ship them to me in Colorado. I had checked the prices on the tires from Big O and then told them what I was going to be paying MT for them. The guy said they couldn't match it. I then asked him what they would charge to dismount 5 tires and and mount and balance the five new ones.

He said $20!

You know that is per tire right? I just this weekend went to Big-O to remount and balance my 35's after I had them removed to powder coat the rally's.

Richard is right next to Mayboca's and we were picking on him the other day. He is a good person too. I didn't know he did that kind of work. Thanks D I will have to talk to him.

Picked up the truck today and ordered the tires also. I start putting it back together Friday.
