OFFICIAL* Dante's Peak Suburban Build *

I cross into Montana at Sweet Grass. I'm willing to drive just about anywhere in the state to pick it up. Even into Idaho or Wyoming if needed.

I just talked with Lawrence and he has finally agreed to let us repair his truck.

If someone wants to tow it here I got a place to put it.

Trying to work something out might take me a couple days but this truck is getting from Colorado to canada if I have to tow it with a semi worn out 6.2 jimmy.

I can likely find two days to tow it to WY or maybe even MT if I can find a trailer.

I don't know how much help I can be from this part of the World but I will gladly help with fuel, gaskets ,parts or whatever is needed to help this along. I'm glad Lawrence decided to accept some help on this, I would love nothing better than to see him able to keep driving and enjoying this truck he has worked so hard for.

If you can get it to my place I can Definately get it to Cole in Great falls. That's a day trip if you push it. Or to the border to meet Russell. If I can borrow a truck ( not usually a problem) I can get it to Russell if he doesn't have the time

What does a Suburban weigh? I have the truck and a 10k trailer. If I could get help with fuel, I could haul it north somewhere. I am probably the closest to him.

Near as I can tell ( gm heritage center ) the heaviest burb made in 86 was 5800 lbs curb weight. That was a 3/4 ton. 1/2 tons were about 600 lbs less.

Like I said that is from the gm heritage center. So gm published those numbers

iirc, he's on slightly bigger tread, throw in some lb's for other bolt-on's, so a few hundy more than that I would suppose...

be real nice to see that rig get a modern mill in it..

Nice! My burb on a trailer weighed 6900lbs. His might be a tad heavier with the brush guard, 350, and 700r4. Add in a heavier duty trailer than the one I used and his might be right at 7500lbs including the trailer.

This is how it sat. All the glass and stuff was in the back. Mostly this is so you can see the trailer I used. Again, the burb and trailer combo weighed 6900.
