No it's alright, I can handle it. U-haul is cheap, and the F-150 rental truck they have has the capacity to carry Big Red. If I feel ambitious, I can rent a 1 ton truck for not much more from enterprise.

I don't think it fits on their trailers. In my experience 33s are too wide and too big for straps. I towed a truck once with u haul and we had to put rollers on to get it on the u haul trailer.

NO DELETING POSTS! You can't unsay words in a real life conversation, and I always treat forums like an in person conversation. Leave em up, if a browsing casual reader can't get through the non-technical crap, they don't deserve to get to the end of the thread.

I agree. It isn't very considerate to remove yourself from historical conversations. You WERE here, and your contribution cannot be revoked. Why should the record of your contribution be allowed to mysteriously vanish? A lot of good posts disappeared in your last great purging.

I'm still irritated that you removed your posts from my threads last year. There are now sections of them that have loose ends, because comments replying to yours now make no sense. :dunno:

Please don't do that again. We value your contribution and missed you while you were gone. :deal:

I delete my drunk posts for humanity...

so should I send gas funds to the Lawrence paypal?

U haul has two trailers now. My stepside with 35s fit on the bigger of the two. But weigthing 6000lbs was well over the 5000lb limit. Length could be a bigger issue. My truck is a short bed and it took almost the whole bed of the trailer.

Russel is referring to me. One of my pet names around here was "bad cop" for a few years. Can Can was "good cop". Russel currently has my Blazer at his house so he can work on the wiring end of things easier.

As for 'tech only'...why start now? :haha:

Throw caution to the wind! As long as the bad cop don't catch a wiff of that wind you're fine!

And he'll be good right now, cause I have his K5 hostage haha :P

Wait...what? :dunno:

So I am a bit confused and I guess out of the loop, a lot..........Wade are you bringing it to SLC ? or to my house ?

Does it run ?

and when is this happening ?

I dont care, I am fine, just would like to know.

So maybe I could be here :D

This whole thing sounds like a big confusing mess....

I like it :D

On a weekend I have no problems making a big drive to go get the burb if it matters at all...

Just throwing this out there, but I could pick the thing up from erics house If wade took it there preventing riley from having to rent a truck and trailer

I don't have a destination. Today is the first I heard of you storing it. I was rushing to get it to SLC so it could be hauled north on Tuesday. So I am a little lost also. Just heading north from Ouray on monday morning.

If we get done wheeling early on Sunday, I may be headed north Sunday night just to get ahead.

I just need to know where it goes.

Couldnt engine just be delivered to lawrences house? And people put it in there?

I dont care I have the space and its no big deal.

Although aint no way a F150 is going to tow it.

Enterprise wont let you tow with one that small anyway. Have to rent a 1-ton or bigger.

I can get a really good deal on one, just like I will be renting to go to BB. I have access to a trailer also that would haul it fine.

This is when I wish my F350 trans was fixed :doah:

I don't really know where everyone lives and as I'm not taking part in the relay so I know what I have to say doesn't really count,

but it sounds a little silly to load, unload, rent trailers and or trucks, and load and unload the burb again when Wade said he could just take it to the spot Russell needs to get it from...

(also everyone seems a little unsure if they actually have or can get the equipment to do the job)

Also, won't this make everything more expensive and take more time?

I don't think time or money is an issue for any one person. As long as it gets to Russel by the 29th we are all good. Everyone hauling knows Lawrence personally and wants to help.:waytogo:

It will be a cool story to tell the ladies when each of us is in an old folks home.

Does that mean Richard and I can stop at the old folks home and throw you guys in the back of the burb and go for a joy ride?

:burb: We can stop by the home on the way to the 50th Anniversary Blazer Bash :woot:
