I'm going to quit posting updates until I can get all my crap together and start over from the beginning of what ive done haha. I started on facebook when I didn't have my premium membership then brought some here when sweetk30 upped me. So...for now, engine trans transfer case are all in. Need to time the engine and finish up automatic wiring and linkage and this thing will be running and driving

Excellent , should take about 8-9 qts total, you have to put it in gear a few times to fill. Do not fill past the middle between add and full.

Did you get the support rods yet? I have them all....i need sm465-208 support rods...
So it doesn't burp out the vent once it gets warm, the 700R4/4L60E has a low threshold for vent purge if slightly over full
So is that a general guideline for all 700R4 transmissions? Or just when filling a new box?
I never fill 100% capacity on a tranny install . this can cause big burp up and out the dipstick tube . . . . seen it happen before and that's 1 huge stream of atf coming out of there .
I do 50-60% fill then fire up and fill till at mark and also shift in r-d a few times foot on brake with drive shaft hooked up also . I say as some guys might skip that step and go to park and grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr slam in to park .
