Old Iron 2.0

Somebody at work has some ORD tube doors :saweet:

I've posted a few pics of this truck before, didn't know he worked at the same place I do.

Picked the bushings up during my lunch break. Verified that they fit the spring eyes and the bolt sleeves from my 1.5" bushings. Everything checks out.

Gonna throw my JB7 calipers on the 14FF before the 37's go on tonight too.

Her she is fellas.

Shackle angle is a hair steep but looks acceptable to me.

Front sheet metal trimming is needed, I will probably keep the bed on for a little while longer until I can get a nice chop saw (been eyeballing the Evolution with the tungsten blade) and some 2x3 rectangular tube for the trail bed.

I put the rear springs in long side (30" half) towards the front so my tire is almost kissing the bottom of the wheel well on the back side.

She sits pretty level, looks to be a hair higher in the front, front springs have 5 leaves + overload, rear springs are 4 leaves + overload.

Driveshaft won't hookup with the axle pushed back so I will probably swap the springs around for now to center the wheel in the wheel well and get my rear shaft functional. Will swap them back to gain wheelbase once the bed is off.

Overall I'm extremely happy with how she sits, big beautiful thing she is.

Next on the list if crossover steering. Planning on using WFO's springless crossover arm and springless kingpin cap.

Fuel supply for now will probably be a gas can with all 3 lines running from my fuel pump into it lol.

No worries on that shackle angle.

I don't think I'll have any problems. Stephen from ORD said moving the shackle flip back about 1.5" would fix the shackle angle up. I really don't feel like drilling a spare set of holes back there at this point.

It`s really starting to look like it was built in Nebraska...that's a good thing! I like that look!
