Old Iron 2.0

Chop chop! Waiting to see how the 5.3 goes from the Knoxville guy so I can do the same. You'll be my guinea pig...lol.

I plan on going going to pick it up once the all the money is there around the 15th, so that weekend would be Saturday the 20th or Sunday the 21st if you wanna roll out there with me and talk to the guy. I need to find a small trailer to borrow to hall the engine back, do you have one or know anyone?

Gonna put these two SBC's and all my SBC parts that I have sitting around up on Craigslist in Clarksville and Nashville to open up my engine stand and make some cash since I won't be using the stuff ever again.

Hopefully someone local is looking for some 1/2 ton axles with steel daytonas and 35's too... I know their not worth much but maybe one of the Jeep guys around here wants to go full width.

850's not a terrible deal, that's less than a set of decent heads.

I think it's a fair price, I don't have to pull one myself... I paid $800 for my 355 long block a few years ago so paying $850 for everything that I'm about to get seems pretty nice to me.

If everything goes as planned I will hopefully pick up 1 more complete 5.3 from this guy before I make my trip back to Colorado and just put it on the engine stand next to my spare 465/205.

I could have my 1/2 ton trailer available if you need it. Uses a military style hitch, which I have also. Let me look at my schedule at work and Household 6 and will let you know.

Will my Jeep be ok pulling that trailer? My tire are lik stock 31's I believe... don't know what size you have on the trailer.

Sounds good, just let me know. I hate taking my kids and Wife on parts runs cause they're not really into it lol.

LOL....I understand the wife and kids deal. The trailer is an old 1/2 military trailer with modified bed....a bit lighter. I pulled it with my K5 from NC a few years ago. I would think if the Jeep is a V6, it should be ok. The hitch receiver needs to a 2" 'er.

Sweet deal, my Jeep has enough power to pull it I was concerned about the tire size difference on my Jeep and the trailer.

I pulled those 1 tons from Alabama on a heavy ass trailer that was used for a lawn care company that had zero turns and stuff loaded on it... that was a shitty ride on the highway lol, max speed of like 50 mph.

Update:

This is all I've done in the past couple weeks lol, rolled some primer on the14ff axle tubes, was too lazy to flip it over and do the bottom side of the tubes... gonna wire wheels the pumpkin and flanges near the spindles and prime then too... don't know when though.

Got a little done today. Only thing holding the engine in is the 2 engine mount bolts. Gotta pull the bellhousing and whatever is inside of that too.
