Old Iron 2.0

That looks like the 20amp plugs we used on some of the copy machines. Not 220v

220v should have another leg on the plug.
We used to have a pressure washer at my old work that had a goofy plug like that. It was 110 but goofy so you could only plug it in where it was supposed to be, I'm guessing cuz of the amp draw and that the circuit was setup to handle it.

I did some research last night. That outlet is a 110v, 20 Amp outlet. I tried to find some kind of adapter, the other plugs that comes with my welder is a large 3 prong type, it's a 220v, 50 Amp style.

So I guess I won't be fusing anything thick together.

I wonder why they put that outlet in there...

Got to looking through some pics and figured I'd share.

A few of the trucks I've had, two or three of the other ones I couldn't find pics of...

It's kinda sad to see all the time, work and money that was dumped into these things thrown away.

No real updates besides the ignition lock cylinder gave up the ghost sometime last week.

I was dropping off all of my moving boxes at the recycling center here on Fort Carson and used my truck to transport them, made a few trips then parked the truck in it's spot.

Went to start it up and the cylinder will only move to the accessory on position, no further.

I've been starting the truck by turning it to accessory on then popping the hood and using a long screwdriver to make contact between the posts on the starter.

The short term plan is to get the Dana 60 under there. Meet up with @Justin V and pick up the wheels he offered me.

New ignition lock cylinder
New turn signal switch

And that's about it for now. Broke as hell at this point paying for a house here and still paying the mortgage and utilities on my house in TN. House in TN is under contract and scheduled to be closed on 11JULY so that will put me back to where I need to be.

I'm stuck between taking the Holley that is currently on the small block off and putting it on the 6.0L and running that or spending about $700 to put my 4.8L back together and run my propane kit on it.

Hey fellas,

I was searching for K-trucks with flatbed's and ran across these pics on pirate (the rig was for sale, not sure when though).

I'm really digging this truck minus the tube doors, I would have done a set of ORD's.

I'm throwing around the idea of turning my truck into something similar and figured I'd ask what you guys thought.

The flat bed would be different, wide behind the cab and maybe just a hair wider than the frame rails near the back, the frame would be cut after the rear shackle hangers also.

This is what I would try to model the bed after. These are screenshots from a guy on YouTube.

I would mount the bed to the frame like the last two pics, preferably bolt-on vs. welded, those pics are from @Avery4jc build thread.

That's what I have always wanted to do. I love the look of a flatbed truck on big tires. I remember when there was a magazine feature on that camo looking one with the railroad tie bumper. I might do a tube type flatbed on my '72 some day when I build it since it has no bed anyway. Make sure to make good sturdy mounts with plenty of grade 8 hardware. Our utility trucks at work break bed mounts and bolts when they go offroad from the twisting(they also have almost zero suspension travel all frame flex).

Did some weight reduction this morning.

Side steps, sway Bar, front bumper and the melted/broken grill were removed.

Layed some masking tape down for some soon to be body work in prep for bigger tars.

Probably gonna take the box off here soon and look for a scrapper to pick it up.

My fuel tank is leaking too... I don't know where from though (honestly don't care).
