FWIW, Joe is a good guy and he's been around awhile. He is currently deployed serving our country.

I have never met Joe either but yah he has been around for a while and I doubt he is going anywhere real soon, I would make the same offer dude if I had the cash for ya.

I hope you get it

Then you can tell me how you like it so I know how much I want to lift mine

Thanks for the good words guys. :)

There's something about this group of people....great place to hang out. There's been quite a few forums that have come and gone over the years, but I've always wanted to come back to this one. Even when I haven't even owned a 4x4 in 5+ years. The people here make it worth it.

:saweet::usaflag:

Thats why I asked for refrences from guys who have been around this site for awhile who know you :)
I've met Joe once. He stopped by my place on a trip to Ft. Riley. Definitely a great guy. Numerous PM's and replies on this site, yep, he's one of the good ones.

Ok, I sent a PM back with all the info Bro. Talked to the guy about the truck and your're right....he sounds like a young rich kid lol.

lol! I got that idea just from emails back and forth. It was obvious even on the phone? Ha! :haha:

One of his email address's has "88" in it, so I'm guessin he's only 22 or so. Thats fine with me....it's obvious he doesn't really know what he's got. :eek1::D

It looks like Steve and I have worked out a deal to get this done. We just talked on the phone as well, I've gotta say somethin about all this in a public place. I'm still kinda blown away that an almost total stranger is willing to do this for me. It gives me faith that the rest of the world isn't just full of selfish, robotic morons.

Steve, when I get back to the states, it's dinner for you and your familly at the restaurant of your choice with drinks of your choice on me.

Right on Joe, I'm really glad this worked out. That is a sweet ride! It would be a crying shame for it to go to someone who doesn't know or care what it is.

Good luck to you! I love this place more and more, and I'm still a newbie!!!

hope it works out!

Unless the guys sells it in the next day or two, It's a done deal.

I had my bank overnight a cashiers check to Steve, he's gonna go pick up the truck himself, then I'm going the reimburse him the difference + fuel costs and a little extra for him, by the middle of next month. When that is done, my buddy in Grass Valley will head down to Visalia to pick it up from him and drive it back.

Roger that.

I need a bigger truck period, the little '04 Nissan Frontier is a great run around truck, just small and gutless, and 2wd. :haha:

It was either go spend $30k+ on a new crew cab 1 ton and have another payment, or find something like this, no payment and waaay more cool points. :) This way, by the time I get back to the states, I'll have two vehicles, the dd Nissan and the V30, both paid for. No brainer. :wink1:

That's awesome Joe, glad it's working in your favor. :waytogo: I gotta say that this place is one of a kind. I've been on a lot of forums over the years and I can't recall another forum that has the kinship that CK5 does. Very cool

Thats AWESOME! Hope it goes as planned for you. Nothing like this place anywhere on the net, period. You are aquireing the holy grail of crew cabs man!!

Well Joe, i'm guessing i don't need to keep an eye out for a truck for you now assuming this deal works out the way it should.

Here is a prime example of why this place is so great:bow:

And I think it's safe to say that the truck is a very rare find, and most of us here would give a left nut to own it:crazy:

You are correct Mr. Scott. :wink1:

.....Is Joe gettin' this?? (Oooooh, CK5 soap opera! :) )

Yes, I am. :)

Rare is no joke. Every other '91 I've found in the past couple months has either been a stripper model with no a/c and crank windows, been a rolling rust bomb, or so over priced as to be in the realm of the ridiculous.

The only problems I have with the truck are on the interior. And they're little things. It has rubber flooring, it's in good shape, but I want carpet. And the seats and door panels are some horrid orange/red color. Front captains seats w/some butt ugly autozone seat covers....kinda look like K5 seats. Rear bench. No center console. I think I'm gonna be spending some money with LMC to get the interior up to snuff.

:(:(:(

This sucks. One frickin stupid problem after another. I had a check overnighted to doonjumper/Steve on Thursday morning California time. Paid the extra $8 for Saturday delivery. Well, Saturday I called to get a tracking number. They told me they had a computer issue blah blah blah, only affected 200 checks blah blah. Will be delivered Monday. Well fuuuck me. Ok, nothin I can do about that. Fast forward to Monday...Steve gets the check, plans to go pick up the truck today, Tuesday. I emailed the guy last night and told him Steve would be up there to meet up with him to pick up the truck today. His reply back- "truck sold". Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Then he tried to sell me a '99 gmc 1500 ifs truck on 44" boggers. His word for word reply when I told him I'd pass-

"thats a 99 compared to a 1991 ur crazy higher lift bigger tires newer truck lower miles...u ought to rethink buddy this truck will get way more chicks than that old 91 chevy"

What a godamn douche nozzle. I was in contact with him everyday, letting him know the check was in the mail, my situation/location, when the bank dropped the ball etc... I'd like to kick the little ass wipe right square in the gooch.

And Steve, thank you for your patience, understanding and willingness to help.

I guess now that I have no need to keep the guys contact info to myself, I can post up his youtube video of the truck-

:(

That just makes me want to cry.
