I think you're right. We always use 85dB as the limit before requiring in-ear plugs. Even if the app is within +/-10% of actual, that's enough to be wary.

I'll see if I can duplicate with another device.

I will say I checked my phone against a standalone db meter and it was accurate up to about maybe 95 and then the reading skewed.

Mine too. With the old wranglers the road noise was tolerable. But with the IROKs on there's a huge difference. I need to check it.

We drove to the deer lease yesterday, which is not far from Katemcy.

It was warm out, and we were decently loaded. The cooler stack keeeps everything 190-200 with the AC on, and the fan clutch engages promptly at 205. Everything was well behaved. The new sound insulation greatly reduces drone, but my need for new door seals is obvious as there is a ton of ambient road noise.

For those on Instagram, we've done a couple of live streaming sessions during the drive - good scenery and all - and will do more tomorrow and Saturday when we're on the granite.

Lots of stacked granite, and several slabs and domes. It's fairly wide open and as technical as you want to make it. Our group is sticking to the 'moderate' difficulty trails, which is just fine by me.
Thank you, and yes, we need to go wheeling. These rocks aren't going anywhere.

We're back out on the trail around 930/10 today.

Happened to catch one of the Live feeds of your ride yesterday. Very cool. Plus I was super jealous since I was sitting at work. I love the level of detail you've poured into the Burb. Great work!

Really appreciate that man! Those live feeds are pretty cool, and we had enough signal out here to do a couple from the trail. Glad to be back on the trail.

Gotta air up in the morning and hit the highway. Big week of work ahead, plus I need to order a new tie rod.
