Will you weld that up your self!?
There's a shop nearby where I take my cast aluminum for welding. I'm still learning. Will you weld that up your self!?
The intercooler ends required windowing the core support, and will likely require a relocation of the turn signals. We'll see:

You have a keen eye.Have I ever told you that I like the collection of manifolds on the wall? I'm pretty sure I'm seeing (R-->L) a 6.2 C-code intake, a 6.2 Banks intake, and a 6.2 J-code intake. And then some other non-stock 6.2 intake.
You just need a 6.5TD intake to round out the collection.![]()
You have a keen eye.
The 6.5 F intake is in service on the truck, and those on the wall are all 6.2: dual plane C, single plane J, dual plane J, and a single plane J intake off the M998 donor engine that eventually found its way into the suburban.
They each spent some time in service on the truck, and I just can't let them go.

A factory truck air cleaner will not fit on a NA hummer intake. That setup uses a right angle plenum and cylindrical filter. It flows well, but I don't think it would fit very easily on an AC truck. I think people have used spacers/adapters to make that intake work on a truck. The far left one has the lug holes at 3:00 and 9:00. The other 3 all have them at 6:00 and 12:00. That's why I assumed it wasn't stock (the standard 6.2 air cleaner assembly won't fit that properly). Does the air cleaner fit if it's rotated 90 degrees?
And I haven't met a single-plane J intake before. What was its OEM application?![]()
. I like the dimpled spot to sit the bottom mount. Are those the stock rubber inserts? Should hold it in place pretty good.A factory truck air cleaner will not fit on a NA hummer intake. The single plane intake came on 1988 and later 6.2s. I think they were the same between the suburbans in blazers that were still square body, and the new body style GMT400 trucks. Of all the NA intakes, I think that's the best one since it still maintains the overall runner length yet has the largest plenum volume.
I'm in full nerd mode on useless old diesel trivia.

Thank you. The photos you shared were very helpful. Yes, those are the factory bottom mounts. I'm planning to use the stock uppers as well.Looks good. I like the dimpled spot to sit the bottom mount. Are those the stock rubber inserts? Should hold it in place pretty good.

. Fit up of the panels looks pretty good too.
