It's a lot of work for just another 1/8" of clearance, but I enjoy the details.

That's been my aspiration for projects in general these last few years: built a garage, building a car, tinkering on the suburban, etc. Just want to make the very best product I can.I love it when some thing doesn't look modified cause it was done so well.

Oh yes. They're not even screwed down, yet. I've just used them as spacers during the mockup to make sure the tubing had a consistent gap from the torque box.Looks like the tube is on one side of the one hold down bracket, and the other side of the other bracket. Is that bracket movable?
