One Piece at a Time: My 1985 Diesel Suburban

The area you have taped off should just go flat black anyway. Looking GREAT!

I was wondering about that....

Not sure if he'll even be able to now that's it's open from the louvers.
There is always a compromise. Hopefully my stack of dynamat and hoodliner is enough to offset.

The truck is damned loud over 2k anyway.

Public Service Announcement:
Always use a fresh can of filler.

My Evercoat Rage 105 was a little over a year and a half old, and wouldn't set up; not even overnight. Scraping it all off now, and heading to the paint supply shop in the morning for a new can.

Ugh, hate when you have to do work twice plus cleaning up the first problem.

No matter how much I think I've controlled heat or how well the panel has responded to bumping, a skim of filler quickly shows me what's up.

Aside from the old and inaccessible hail dents (softball projectiles), nothing there is thicker than 1/16". I'm pleased so far, but still have 16 ways I'd do it better next time.

One more skim of Evercoat, and then I'm on to a glaze and guide coat. Oh, and tons of blocking.
