There was some flavor of 400 that came in some of those. It’ll fit, especially if you hate the vehicle you put it in4L80e fits perfect in a square body. Probably the same in a jeep.

Oh, Romeo. If it an auto to be, start with a 400 or a 4L80e
4L80e fits perfect in a square body.
Certainly, a little tin work doesn’t bother me, and it’s likely just to a bunch of plated in tube work, anyway. It’ll fit, especially if you hate the vehicle you put it in
A wagoneer is same length as a k5 but about 4" narrower and comes stock with 110" wheelbase and of course 4 doors.Calling a Wagoneer less of everything is a true statement coming from a guy driving a burb like yours. But for 98.57% rest of the public a Wagoneer is still a huge by wide beast to shove down normal jeep trails. Though I approve the delusion, not that you need that either. Full speed ahead!
From what I’ve seen it’s not like you are tearing up a minty woody Grand Wagoneer anyway. Though the FSJ Jeep guys may shed a tear over the beating it may get.
It is a family heirloom, and I need to be a good steward of it. That means making some adult decisions.

You'll just have to squint to see past the peeling clear coat.It will look brand new with a bumper refresh….

Bitchen
It is a silly bracket, and completely unnecessary. It’s just one of those ideas I had to get out of my head and into steel.Dude, you don't need to flex any more than you do already
For sure. Personally, it’s how I learn new skills. Try a lot and see what sticks. It's fun to make something for no other reason than just to do it and try out an idea.

After that: grease bearings, chromoly front shafts, steering ram relo’, new switch pros, roof rack, more lights, better internal gear organization, and some miscellaneous cooling upgrades.
