Onetonbb74s K5

1 ton k5 built for wheeling and camping.
Im hoping I dont have to take anything out of the radiator support, but we shall see...

The bolt pattern looks the same as mine which is set up for an 8274. Low profile winch bolt patterns are long and rectangular not square, I'd bet you'll have to modify the cradle to accept the 10k.

It has the bolt dimentions to bolt up the 10k to the cradle, but since the winch motor is long on one side vs the other side, it looks like it will hit the side of the frame according to the tape measure. Im going to go on the hunt for an 8274 which I imagine is going to be hard to locate.

Got the hydro assist on. Still need to add a cooler...tested the flex.

I ended up having to change the npt fitting that was tapped in the box as it rubbed the tire at full stuff/lock. Removed the straight fitting with a street 90 to save space and removed the 90 jic fitting.

Had to change the orientation of the breather, it was tapped 1/8 npt. Put a street 90 and trimmed the fitting it to clear the housing as it skrewed in. Then skrewed in the straight barbed fitting.

Just read through the whole thread and I really like it. Always cool to see the progression of rigs through the years.

I have been looking at the Diy4x cage/family bars for a while, and just wondering how you liked it? Also, did you tie it to the frame at all? I do not have a bender yet but felt the bought cage would save a ton of time/headache.

Thanks,

I have not tied it to the frame yet. I also want to add more tube to make it stronger. Still more work to be done.
