ORD(u bolt kit) and GM(engine cross member)

These springs are built for the stock mount points and put the axle in the stock location front to back. Shackle angle will be a little extra compared to normal stuff since the spring is about 1.5" longer than most lift springs. This length is pretty standard for us on anything but a K30 and the K30s can use them with a 5" shackle. Lift is 4" and they're relatively light rated, they would be good on a truck that's not super heavy. Ride will be very good. We have this same set on our '74 K20 "cheap truck" project with the 350/sm465/205 and even with one of our bumpers and a winch it's fine. I wouldn't want more weight than that on them.
hope this helps them find a good home! And maybe help you find some cash for coilovers (at least I hope that's the direction you're going since it's the next logical step past custom leaves).

Yes, he has images of coilovers dancing in his dreams... :rotfl:

Thank you very much Stephen for the post. I couldn't put it into words the value of these springs.

Yes I'm planning on coil overs.

So do I. But then I have to push away my dreams and step back into reality

Hopefully they get sold so I can watch you build your setup. As it's the same I want to do someday

Did we just become best friends?:haha:

No but in all seriousness I'll be talking to you during this if I keep going!

Would these springs work on a K5 with a bumper and winch in the front or are they too soft for that? I need a set of springs and shocks for mine.

Yes they would.

I believe Stephen uses 3 main bases when designing the springs. When I purchased these I told him I wanted to be able to tow but wanted the travel also. Also on his cheap truck above he used the same springs and handled a winch and bumper just fine. :thumb:

You'll want to keep it light meaning not a giant winch, probably should run rope and go light on the bumper. The rate really isn't the problem, it's that the extra weight will push them down a little farther. You can gain some of that back with a zero-rate-ish leaf on the bottom of the pack. Our '74 has an extra 1/4" leaf to give it some tierod clearance and bring the height up a little for example. After that, bumpstop them to around 5" of bump travel and they'll be good.

You'll probably want some good shocks at some point after you drop into the rabbit hole too.

Not yet really. We've looked at building some of our most popular spring types in a production system so we have a chance of stocking them instead of every set being custom built. As part of that we need to pick some common designs since we can't stock every variation we do but so far everything is custom built. We spec every detail for each set.

Very nice, another reason for these springs.

Just curious, how much do you think these weigh in per side?

I'm sorry I forgot been a busy few days! :eek1:

These pictures were before I added in the bushings and took out the main leaf.

Avery it would be about 83 to your door. That was a guesstimate from ups.com with 62lbs per spring.

Total or per spring?

What is the height of the spring pack? If they'll clear my drag link with a zero rate under them (I need my axle an inch forward) I'll make you a solid offer.
