Pics of my Dana 60 14BFF Install

This is totally off the subject, but I had to run over to the "warehouse" to get some good steel core rubber valve cover gaskets to put on the ZZ to replace the stock double cork leaking cheapies. This is a set of 604ci 1200++hp efi top shelf motors that are getting quadrotors like in my Outerlimits. The heads are 355 AFR. You can stick your fist down in the runners. Enjoy!

Blowers for one motor partially assembled. More inventory for others in progress. Nothing like being in a room with 12 brand new engines going together with the smallest one being 925hp.:D

You putting that blower on the 572??:D

No, this motor is not built for a supercharger. If I get it all dialed in and there is a power issue, that would be an option if I wanted to change some things. I dont think I want to go much faster than 80 or 90 with the lift and tires that are on it. Surely to god the 572 will do that.

Made a little progress today. Got my new powermaster gear reduction started installed. Got my TCI neutrally balanced sci approved flywheel installed with ARP hardware. Got my good valve cover gaskets installed. Changed ALL bolts out to stainless hardware. getting my fuel system laid out to order tomorrow. Plumbing everything in #10....that way I have enough capacity if I want to add a power adder down the road. I am in the process of selecting my cam to go in it. The pushrods are the wrong length (too short) for the current set up. The rocker arms basically touch the retainers and the roller of the rocker arm is not exactly centered in the valve stem. I am gonna change the cam and measure for the new pushrods and get EXACTLY what it needs for the geometry to be on the money. This is a nice motor....but some of the setup and assy leaves alot to be desired. Not what I was expecting from GM based on all the hype.

Lots more goodies will be ordered tomorrow....including and 8qt marine pan to get some capacity in this thing.

Roll Tide!!!

Either way, it was a pretty damn good seaons for all college football fans. I can not wait until next year.

Ill post pics tonight. I am taking the heads off now to put cometic head gaskets on it. My buddy called and said there is a killer deal on a 3.3L intercooled whipple he knows of. I thought I might as well get ready for that too in case the blower pans out. I had a custom made cam ground that will be here wednesday. Custom made gen 6 cams with mechanical fuel pump eccenctrics are higher than giraffe pussie. It will lower the peak rpm down to around 5400 to 5500 and dramatically increase torque and put it right off of idle. It should also generate enuff vacumn to operate brakes without hydrobooost or a can. I got a double roller adjustable timing set so that I can easily degree the new cam. The stock one is junk. Once I get the cam in and degreed, I will measure for the correct pushrods and get them coming from manley. The bottom end actually looked really good. (thank god) because the top end set up is not impressive even for a 600hp crate motor. Gotta get to work. Will post pics later!

Wow! You do some nice work.
The cage and body work is so close to what I have done with my suburban it is scary.
Looking forward to seeing the progress.
