PLOW MACHINE / sleeping quietly : 237 6 shifter levers !

tuff country 3"hd springs are in the front today and full weight on them . she has bounce in the front now over them super stiff ?brand leafs i had for mockup . body line is now 1/2" high at the rear over the nose high it was before. might have to give it a smidge of lift in the back extra once i am done building the truck . . . 1/2-1" extra . wont know till at that point.

now to get the t-case crossmember setup in to make sure its were it needs to be so i can lock it down and build the shifter bracket and lock them down and done . might have to do a small body lift to clear the floor with the doubler setup . i have a 1" body lift but am trying NOT to have to use it . i want as little as possible. if need be i have a stick of 6061 aluminum and a friend who can cut me some pucks in the thickness i will need.

also this will get me about mocked up at the end of the line . . then its tear down and blast frame and paint it along with other parts . and start the final assembley . . . and do the 454 up and test fire it out of the truck to ork any bugs out before hand .

did some cleaning out of parts i had for a project thats not going to happen . found me a brand new flowmaster delta flow 50 H.D. series muffler to use with this bbc 454 . its single 3" inlet and 2.5" outlet x2.

this should make it sound good but be fairly mellow.

i will use a flowmaster high flow Y-pipe unit for the down pipes from the manifolds to the merge from 2.5" to single 3" outlet to feed this muffler.

225/70/16 rollers on it now .

was going 255/85/16 = tall skinny 33"ish . . . but I said screw it and save money and run what I have . going to run my 35x12.50x16.5 BFG all terain K/O that are almost new .

they should be on for test fit by the end of the week . plan to do that when I swap the axles under it that will be used on it .

just placed my order with http://www.usshift.com/index.shtml and got my quick4 controller unit coming . 2-3 day build out time frame then ships .

also ordered some valve covers to replace my tin stockers and also look betterer AKA :sign11:and if they don't clear the roller rockers I will just get a set of spacers for them .

well this week has been productive yet sad :frown . . . I had to put a project to rest but its parts will live on in this truck and a few others .

so this truck got a new set of axles today and bolted on the 35" bfg tires also that will be on it . need to swap on some rebuilt 13x3.5 drum brakes and check the internals from being stored for years . there LOADED with Yukon 5.13 gears / Timken bearing set's / and ARB lockers both / front has 4340 shafts also with nitro u-joints but I will swapping to spicer life series for street use / and reid racing knuckles / modified spicer hubs with 35 spline inner gears . and I need to remove the ord crossover/high steer for a stock push/pull setup . that will be reused on another truck .

also got a nice used 40k miles gm hood and a bunch of small parts .

I have this idea in my head . . . . . @82355 did them up his pic .

I was thinking of doing the same rim and color on my 35" bfg tires with black letter out like he did .

I have drw dana 60 front hubs and am now running a van width 14ff rear . so this would be a easy swap over for me .

but then again these old school turbines look good also .

Are you running the rear to match the front wms? That's what we did on the old v30 I had. Front was dually, rear was a drw with single wheel hubs and disc brakes.

my rear is all van with original srw hubs . from info off the 14ff bible its 70" wms to wms . and the srw dana 60 is 69"

I was just thinking it would be good looking with the h1 rims non recentered like he did . if need be I have spacers for the rear if I had to make them sit correctly .

That's what I was going to do with my Humvee wheels.
But I think this truck looks cool with those turbines...

got my shipping info today that the usshift quick4 transmission controler kit shipped today . shows a friday delivery date.
