PLOW MACHINE / sleeping quietly : 237 6 shifter levers !

all ready tested . just need final adjustment on linkage . and moved the shifter point forward around 3" or so from past experience . . . planned this one wayyyyyyy ahead  even if i had NOT done a 5 stick shifter combo the tripple setup for the doubler would have been moved up anyway .

I figured as much. Just the angle the photo was taken. Should be nice when it's done.

got the seat frame finished today . then hung it and gave it a quick coat of paint for a bit better look . tracks got black and frame got silver/aluminum color.

also took the chrome front bumper off today as it didnt go with the theme/metal image i had for the truck . i have a military painted unit and the clevis mounts going on to work with the brush guard also . but this made me have to modify the plow frame again . no biggy its just the 1 front tab on each side plate for the plow frame.

only down fall is i will not be able to use the clevis mounts for clevises with the plow frame on it . but thats o.k. by me i still get the look i am going for with it .

I don't think I've mentioned before now, I love those turbine wheels.

to much o.t. at work these days . . . .

but i did drag this home last weekend and seperated the parts .

i will save the bed for reuse . and the HOLMES 480 SPLIT BOOM will be made to install in this truck . and hope to convert the unit to hydro power over the mech power .

condition is super other than respray of black paint thats pealing off from years ago . and the booms need tweeking for the bent angle iron stiffeners .

Your In The business. Not a big deal.
I am in the welding business, I wouldn't have to pay to have anything welded up if i needed to.

was off a old truck we had at work . hardly ever used in its life time so far .

and i play with my welders a lot when i have time .

my plan is 3 point quick clip in to the bed of the truck .

1 point the DIY4X hitch and 2 extra points up front area . then bolt it to recivers and drop in and install 3 pins . so it will be pop in/out with the shop lift . set on trailer when not in use .

There is a few Holmes 440 wrecker bodies "complete" at one of the salvage yards I go to every so often, just sitting in the weeds...not sure what they would get for one...
There is a really cool looking old wrecker body there that probably dates back to the 40's,it has a huge square tube type boom with holes made into the sides of it--kind of art deco looking...been there "forever"..sitting behind a building where they dismount tires..

If we weren't so far apart I would be all over going after one of those 440's. The 78 C30 we take to he track has a 440 I'm looking to upgrade to a 4x4 but sticking with a 440. They're a great simple setup

well i have not forgot about this truck . . . but i did find it again in the shop today . she got cleaned out / off and from under . she was a huge pile of box's and parts and junk in the center of the shop . i finally got tired of it and spent a solid day on it and the area around it for the most part . i stayed real warm in the shop with the cardboard fire i had in the wood stove all day .

at 1 spot she was almost touching the 9ft 6" ceiling height in the shop . now its just truck parts in the bed and trash ready to go to the dumpster next to it on the floor .
