Poorboy's 91 Build... B52's 56's FUSH, SYE

They're getting there.... They've got the main section bent and fit for width. I've been the test pilot for most of the GM products. They've been super busy with A LOT of other projects. As they get back to mine, I'll be sure to post up pics ASAP!

hey man

Nice looking Blazer. Ive been trying to figure out what part of town you live?

So, what brought you out here from mass?

I'm down at powers and airport. I was at dublin and academy. The Girlfriend got stationed at carson, so it was come out here or stay there... and here I am!

very cool...thanks. i'm looking forward to seeing this as i contacted them about a rear bumper before i got to see this thread. i'll have my truck soon and the rear bumper setup will be one of the first things i do....be well, Bill

Hefty fab cut out some Block off plates for the Crusader 454. I plan on using some glass bead to clean it up a bit, throw some paint on it, and PUT IT IN. Been wanting to do this, just didnt have the resources for the longest time..

So trying to figure out some of my driveline a little ahead of time. Got a couple of questions.. I have a slip yoke eliminator for my NP241.

I stripped a 88 CCLB K30 a couple years ago. Saved the 2pc slip driveshaft. Is this worth salvaging to make my rear shaft?

I've found a couple of threads about using Ford Super Duty shafts, any specific ones to keep in mind?
Any insight on using those front and rear?

What do you guys recommend for shafts/yokes? I'll be Clocking the 241 up as well.

All I really have to add is that with 1 tons and a 454, you'll want 1350 driveshaft joints at a minimum. Do you know what size the joints in your K30 shaft are?

You won't want a 2 piece rear driveshaft in a Jimmy, but some people run a 2 piece front...

Yep, they're 1350's. I dont plan on running 2 piece, just wondering if the slip was worth salvaging to make a slip style cv shaft to work with my SYE.

Motor back from the blaster, got some rear springs from a 2002 chevy 63's? 64's? Got to get some paint on the engine, swap the cam out and get to swapping motors. This thing has sat long enough! pics to come.....

picked up some more things over the past 6-8 months. Autometer guage set from ion, 14 bolt pinion guard, rear disc conv brackets, Full MSD OFF-ROAD ign with rev box, MSD coil, massive 6X9 driving lights for the bumper, and a Tuffy center console. This build is going A LOT slower than I want, But i'm hanign' in there....

Pic whoring..... MSD off road box and rev limiter. Auto Meter Air pressure and trans temp gauge.

Just picked up a Hydrobooster, XJ shaft, 2wd Steering box and a Diesel fan shroud for my massive radiator.

The woman gave me a budget to get this thing usable! I'm thinking I should have some significant progress in the next few months.

I also ordered up a MSD cap, rotor and coil. Debating on the distributor from them, It's like a stock replacement. Not sure theres a gain over the stock one.

Should have my other set of Auto meter gauges this week as well.

Haven't got that far yet. I know with the 5" and 2 5/8" you can get a factory look, but I couldnt pass up the deal on these 3 3/8" & 2 1/16" from a member here. I'd like to use the stock bezel, just not sure how it'll work out.

Haven't finished it yet.... Focusing on the major things, engine/driveline. Will be back on the bumper this spring!
