Poorboy's 91 Build... B52's 56's FUSH, SYE

Lol I almost forgot you still have a K5... :doah:

Updates are good though!

63's in! Well roughed in for now. Still have to do 56's upfront. Then get all my ride height adjusted. Pretty happy with height and shackle angle as of now. Hope the front ends up close.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1361508786.600074.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1361508810.944482.jpg

Well, it's torn apart and stuck in the corner with a bunch of junk surrounding it again…ImageUploadedByTapatalk1374262829.215884.jpg

Well finally got a hair across my a** again. Between 63chevyII working on his sub and a buddy doing a mild K5 build in my shop.... Pulled the big winch Bumper, front spring hangers, 6" lift springs, and factory FUSH. Donated 6" springs to my buddies build, started prepping for B52, FUSH and 56's. Also pulling the front axle to go through and reseal, paint, prep for hydro assist.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1380429923.281669.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1380429938.473800.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1380429954.286070.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1380430060.886706.jpg

And an idea of the mayhem. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1380430500.593900.jpg
Yes there's 3 BBC's visible in that picture. There's 2 more hiding behind my blazer.... I know, I'm sick.

Here's a quick rundown of John's build. Bought 86 K5 out here in Colorado. Swapped in the 6 inch springs out of the front of my blazer, shackle flip, add a leaf putting 3/4 ton light duty axles under it 4.10 ratio, Hummer H2's and brand-new BFG 315's. 454 from a 77 c20, 5-speed, NP208 or mech 241. Cowl hood. Just going to be a driver.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1380430464.952529.jpg

Glad to see you're making progress between road trips. I like John's K5, Is that headed to the east coast?

It may at some point. Prob won't have it finished before we head east again. Going to be a pretty decent truck! I'll have to check in on your thread. Haven't been on here in ages!

quick.. build a mini shed around it! sound proof it...
This thing is so quiet! Well I can at least still have a conversation while its running. I wanted to blow the last one up....

Shop looks pretty normal to me...

HEY! No opinions from you.. You'll blow my front of being a clean, organized worker.

I like this rig. Those 42's make me jealous. I think your shackle angle in the rear looks pretty much perfect. With the 63's, and then the 56's in the front, you are gonne need to trim more fenders :D. That pic of your 241 exploded reminds me of when I did mine. It's not too bad of an install. Its looking good. When do you anticipate you will be ready to wheel? I would love to see this thing on the trail in person :thumb:

I just finished my SYE on the case I got from you guys a few weeks ago. It all worked well, no issues with the case. Thanks.

good to hear!! did you get the case back in the truck? What did you do for a shaft?

What t-case is that?

NP241 better newer updated version of the np208. I have a couple extra if your interested....:deal:

The 42's were originally going to be for a Crew cab long bed that I had before I moved to Colorado. But yea, they are bad ass! I'm really happy with the rear shackle angle. I have a zero rate that I'll most likely add too and bump the axle back a bit(rear). I plan on trimming the rear quarters just below the molding. Trimming front fenders a LOT. 241 is all back together and ready for install. Next is service trans and clean up. I hope to have it on the ground and mobile again in the next couple months. I am very motivated at this point and have most everything I need parts wise to finish drivetrain, steering, suspension etc. I'm determined to do some snow bashing this winter up in the mountains!
