Project “Bad Grampa”

The thrush welded that I've ran we're both pretty deep sounding... I can't say they were alotta quiet though lol. Hard to tell in my applications though. One was duals dumping under the rear seat of my 83 ram charger (can't remember size), and the other was a single 3" no cat dumping right in front of the rear axle under my burb. The burb sounded amazing and wasnt super loud inside, but would literally set off car alarms rolling through Walmarts lot.

My heater wasn't working in my K5, found out I had both lines ran to a pressure port. Basically they were pushing against each other and there was no flow.

Lol I think mine is right but I better double check. It works ok but it’s not as warm as it should be.

Love me some ac!!!
Yeah me too. My 77 is getting the AC put back together. My crawler has good AC too. It was funny when I would pull up beside my buddies in Moab and roll my windows down while I was still wearing a hoodie and they were dumping water on their heads. Every hour or so they would jump in with me just to cool off.

Mine is not that cold in my blazer but then I thought it would be cool to leave carpet out hahaha. Now I gotta fix water leaks coming in at front kick panels and then will install least front carpet to help on heat and sound.

Really will just make the wife happy if anything!

Noticed a miss every now and then going to and from work but it was subtle enough that I never did decide if it was actually a miss or the road. This morning I went out to start my truck and all it does is cranks. Checked the fuel pump and you can hear it run and it sounds normal. Checked spark and it doesn’t have spark. pulled the distributor cap and it’s pretty rusty around the reluctor ring and pickup. Never messed with this style of dizzy so I thought it would be a quick and easy “swap out the pickup” but of course... it’s not that simple with these.

Ignition module....? . :dunno:

I think a stock replacement dizzy with the whole works in it is like $100-150 at Napa. Solves a bunch of electronics at once. And can't hurt for the future

Might look into a new dizzy anyway if your's looks terrible inside...

Pretty sure the coil has been on its way out for a while. It starts up sooooo much better now.
