What are you running for a tranny? If its a 700, its gonna be a little doggy with 3.73s and 35s...anything else should be fine, as far as I know...

Finished painting my supension stuff this morning. I`m pretty happy to get it done....

Here`s the shackle flip with backing plates and supplied bolts...Kert really does some good work, thanks again Kert!:waytogo: For paint, I went with Rustoleum`s Hammertone Grey, and I am very pleased with the way it came out.

Overall, I`m pleased with the way things are coming out thus far....

 Gee, I wonder where the Hammertone Grey idea came from??? Do ya think??? Nah........go on!

Good show Mr. Ben! Make sure you do two coats of the Hammertone so you get the full affect of the paint. Looking good! Looking good! Stay focused!

Well, if you`ve seen MuddinManny`s build thread, and saw when he had a contest to guess what a clock stamp on his D60 housing standed for, you would`ve also seen that I guessed the correct answer:crazy:

Anyways, Manny was true to his word, and got my suprise out to me..So, today I come home during my break from midterms at school, to find an envelope in the mail from ORD. What was inside, you ask? A $50 gift certificate!:saweet: :saweet: :saweet:

Thanks again Manny....That will play a key part in my build up;)

Well, today I buttoned up the sway bar. Had to finish tightening the frame mounts, because when I originally started it, it was cold, and I knew my truck wasn`t going anywhere because of the P/S problem, I left it.

So, today after school, grabbed my buddy, and headed over to my house. His dad came shortly after, and we were lead to believe it was just a bad hose, and it just came loose after a while, and just popped off (the crimp clamp thing). So, I reclamped the hose, then filled/bled the system, and what a difference. Drives like a complete different truck. No bumpsteer, AT ALL.

As little that has been completed in this build, I`m VERY pleased with the results....

turning is always nice.
yea, definitely:D :D

So far, I`ve noticed it seems alot easier to steer, and it trys more to return to center, like it should...

the only way mine goes back to the center is if i turn it all the way to the left. i cant wait till i can steer again

tries more? as in it doesn't really return to center? I've got a lot more tire than you and crappy steering geometry and mine even returns to center on it's own...you may want to look deeper into it.

What I meant was that it does return to center, as opposed to where it would try, but not get there, unlike it does now....I don`t think we need to get into this Avery. Do I need to explain the "importance" of steering with you??;) ;)

One more thing I also noticed, one of the u-joints on the XJ shaft I have in there is busted...anyone got an extra xj shaft?:D

Now, Now, boys....behave yourselves! Play nice!

Im taking a stab at it, but the hose prolly was either leaking fluid or air and that is why young grasshoppa's steering was not 100%. After the line fully blew due to slipping off the fitting, young grasshoppa restored full fluid flow and pressure. Bleeding the system purged any and all air out, so that gave him back the proper steering power. Ben, I'd run it for about a week, then I'd bleed the system again, just to make sure no air pockets were caught or stuck in the line. Better safe than sorry.

Full steam ahead on this project!

So, had the night off from work today, so I headed up to NH with my buddy to spend the night at his parents place. So, todays project was break down all the stuff for my 8 lug conversion. So, I started by knocking the studs out.

Then, I sprayed a little Yeild where the hub and rotor met, since I left my PB Blaster at home:doah: , let it sit, then went to town with the 3lb hammer.

Then I went to town with the hammer and small punch and got the seals/bearings/races out of the hub.

Here`s how they sit now, on their way back to my house in the milk crate, waiting to be acid bathed :D
